...Civil War, World War I, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War.

All these wars started under Democrat Presidents.

No, the Civil War began during the Presidency of James Buchanan.

Eisenhower ENDED the Korean War, a war which Harry Truman could not win, because the Communists had him stumped.

True Cupcake, Abe was a known Dem :(

But yes CONservatives were isolationists against both WW's

Isolationism was strongest in the United States, where oceans separated it on both sides from the war fronts. Having seen their Wilsonian idealism for forgiveness for the Central Powers in World War I rejected, some Americans hoped to sit out this "Old World" war. The German-American Bund even marched down the avenues of New York City demanding isolationism. The isolationists, led by the America First Committee, were a large, vocal, and powerful challenge to President Roosevelt's efforts to enter the war. Charles Lindbergh was perhaps the most famous isolationist. Isolationism was strongest in the Midwest with its strong German-American population.

Q. When was the Civil War fought?
The war began when the Confederates bombarded Union soldiers at Fort Sumter, South Carolina on April 12, 1861.

Abraham Lincoln

In office

March 4, 1861 – April 15, 1865

Roosevelt made promises to keep us out of the war, promises he never intended to keep. He should have been honest, and said that if Adolph Hitler started trouble in Europe, the United States would get involved. Had Roosevelt done simply that, World War II might have been avoided, at least the European part of it.

The war started when South Carolina seceded from the Union, which happened on James Buchanan's watch. Had he responded immediately with an invasion of South Carolina, the Civil War might have been averted.

Well, if you are going to play that game, the Vietnam War began under Republican Eisenhower.
No it didn't, it started under JFK.
Eisenhower maintained between 750 to 1,500 troops in Vietnam as advisors between 1955 and 1960 when JFK added another 500. The first Americans to be lost in combat were lost during the Battle of Dien Bien Phu in 1954. They were air dropping supplies to French troops when their cargo aircraft was hit and crashed.

That doesn't sound like much of a war. Things didn't really get hot until Johnson was President, then it was a war.

The Civil War started under Lincoln, who as far as I can tell was a Republican.
Who seceded from the Union and fired on Fort Sumter ? What party did the President of the CSA belong to ? I'll give you a hint it rhymes with sociopath.

And was super escalated under that Democratic President Lyndon B Johnson.

Who started the wars in Irag and Afghanistan?

The thing is, all our biggest wars were brought to us courtesy of the Democrats.

Would you like to compare casualties ?

Well, that is the claim of the OP, but posters in this thread have established that the claim is faulty and the longest wars in US history have conveniently been left out. Of course, there is no debate about which President was in office and started the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
