This was back when you could make fun of things like this,
Eddie Murphy style from SNL. I miss the 80's when joking around was clearly
MAKING FUN OF STEREOTYPES and wasn't mean spirited bullying directed at people.
I think this says more about the cultural shift in
perception in media/social stereotypes and in politics.
What used to be seen as individual responsibility
has been projected more and more on groups as a COLLECTIVE
identity in order to make public statements in the media
complaining and demanding change from WHOLE GROUPS.
