Try to guess how many lies Steven Colbert told in this monolog.

I wonder how much we're having to pay for Democrats to bitch and moan about losing the White House to an outsider. We still have to pay their salaries in Washington even though they haven't been doing their jobs for over a year. Why do we have to pay for a bunch of spoiled brats who appear to do nothing but constantly trash the current administration?

Why are we even here in the first place?

Simply because a Trump hater in the FBI, Peter Strzok, somehow ended up on both the Hillary email investigation and the Russian Collusion investigation under Mueller. I think it's highly possible this guy is being used as a scapegoat, and the Mueller investigation is loaded with people like the nefarious Mr. Strzok. Perhaps he was let go to get some of the heat off of the Special Council's back. What's really strange is he was booted off the Trump investigation 6 months ago and only now this fact has been made public. Why? Why can't we even find a picture of this dickhead anywhere? What is it about him that they are keeping secret?

So far millions of taxpayer's dollars were wasted on a fake investigation into Hillary's emails and now wasted on a fake Russian Collusion investigation that looks like will never end. Millions upon millions of dollars on a witchhunt that leads, at least they hope, to nothing more than a coup by the establishment against a president that isn't a member of the club that brought us the Iraq War, The Stimulus Bill, TARP, ISIS, the war in Syria and Libya, and $20 trillion in debt.

Obama sent billions to our enemies in the last days of his presidency and none of that is being investigated.
Hillary lost $6 billion dollars during her time as Secretary of State....and none of that is being investigated.
Why are we investigating an accusation of obstruction over an action that is clearly laid out in the constitution?
Trump had every right to fire an incompetent FBI Director. Yet these insiders are using Hillary supporters to investigate him and we're paying for this nonsense.
I was wondering just how much this is costing us.

Broadly speaking, most of the falsehoods levelled against Trump fall into one or more of five categories, each of them drawing from and feeding into five public personas inhabited by the President.

They are:

  • Donald Trump: International Embarrassment
  • Trump the Tyrant
  • Donald Trump: Bully Baby
  • Trump the Buffoon
  • Trump the Cruel Bigot
Some of these claims are downright fake, entirely fabricated by unreliable or dubious web sites and presented as satire, or otherwise blatantly false. But the rest — some of which have gained significant traction and credibility from otherwise serious people and organizations — provide a fascinating insight into the tactics and preoccupations of the broad anti-Trump movement known as “the Resistance,” whether they were created by critics of the President or merely shared by them.

Generally speaking, we discovered that they are characterized and driven by four types of errors of thought:

  • Alarmism
  • A lack of historical context or awareness
  • Cherry-picking of evidence (especially visual evidence)
  • A failure to adhere to Occam’s Razor — the common-sense understanding that the simplest explanation for an event or behavior is the most likely.
Infused throughout almost all these claims, behind their successful dissemination, is confirmation bias: the fuel that drives the spread of all propaganda and false or misleading claims among otherwise sensible and skeptical people. Confirmation bias is the tendency to look for, find, remember and share information that confirms the beliefs we already have, and the tendency to dismiss, ignore and forget information that contradicts those beliefs. It is one of the keys to why clever people, on all sides of every disagreement, sometimes believe stupid things that aren’t true.

We’re going to take a look at the four major types of falsehood we found, which correspond with Donald Trump’s five public personas, and point out along the way how various errors in thought have played a role in their origins and their spread.

The FBI agent who was fired from Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation team for sending anti-Donald Trump text messages conducted the interviews with two Hillary Clinton aides accused of giving false statements about what they knew of the former secretary of state’s private email server.

Neither of the Clinton associates, Cheryl Mills and Huma Abedin, faced legal consequences for their misleading statements, which they made in interviews last year with former FBI section chief Peter Strzok. (RELATED: Anti-Trump Text Messages Show Pattern Of Bias On Mueller Team)

But another Strzok interview subject was not so lucky.

Michael Flynn, the former national security adviser, pleaded guilty last week to lying during an interview he gave on Jan. 24 to Strzok and another FBI agent. Circa journalist Sara Carter reported on Monday that Strzok took part in that interview with the retired lieutenant general. (RELATED: Anti-Trump FBI Agent Conducted Interview With Michael Flynn)

At the time, Strzok was the FBI’s top investigator on the fledgling investigation into Russian interference in the presidential campaign. He was appointed to supervise that effort at the end of July 2016, just weeks after the conclusion of the Clinton email probe. CNN reported on Monday that as the FBI’s No. 2 counterintelligence official, Strzok signed the documents that officially opened the collusion inquiry.

The starkly different outcomes from Strzok’s interviews — a felony charge against Flynn and a free pass to Mills and Abedin — are sure to raise questions from Republicans about double-standards in the FBI’s two most prominent political investigations. FBI Director Christopher Wray will likely be pressed on the Strzok scandal on Thursday when he attends an oversight hearing before the House Judiciary Committee.

Strzok was also a prominent part of the Clinton investigation, so much so that he conducted all of the most significant interviews in the case.

Along with Justice Department attorney David Laufman, Strzok interviewed Clinton herself on July 2, 2016. The pair also interviewed Mills, Abedin and two other Clinton aides, Jake Sullivan and Heather Samuelson.

Summaries of the interviews, known as 302s, were released by the FBI last year.

A review of those documents conducted by The Daily Caller shows that Mills and Abedin told Strzok and Laufman that they were not aware of Clinton’s server until after she left the State Department.

“Mills did not learn Clinton was using a private server until after Clinton’s [Department of State] tenure,” reads notes from Mills’ April 9, 2016 interview. “Mills stated she was not even sure she knew what a server was at the time.”

Abedin also denied knowing about Clinton’s server until leaving the State Department in 2013.

“Abedin did not know that Clinton had a private server until about a year and a half ago when it became public knowledge,” the summary of Strzok’s interview with Abedin states.

So far it has been reported that the Mueller investigation has cost taxpayers $7,000,000.00

Next time, don't elect a fucking corrupt moron.

So far they count 3 anti-Trump Hillary supporters have been identified on the Mueller team. 'They Should All Step Aside': Ingraham Says Mueller Deputy Represented Clinton Foundation

Laura Ingraham reported that one of Robert Mueller's deputies in his special investigation into President Trump was the personal attorney of a top Obama official and also represented the Clinton Foundation.

In an Ingraham Angle exclusive, Ingraham said Jeannie Rhee was hired by Mueller this past summer to work on the probe.

She formerly worked in the Obama Justice Department as a deputy assistant attorney general in the office of legal counsel - offering advice to the administration.

Ingraham said Rhee was also the personal attorney for Ben Rhodes, the deputy national security adviser for President Barack Obama.

Rhee also represented the Clinton Foundation and donated $9,000 to Hillary and other Democrats, Ingraham said.

She said Rhee is just the latest member of the Mueller team to show "brazen partisanship."

Ingraham said Rhee worked in private practice with Andrew Weissmann - another Mueller deputy who was criticized this week for sending a perceptibly partisan email to a former top DOJ official.

"What Mueller did was hire a pedigree team of obvious partisans," Ingraham said.

"They should all step aside," she said, "including Bob Mueller."

Obama weaponized the Federal government and turned it against his enemies: Conservatives. Trump needed to come into office prepared to fire and replace every single person hired or promoted by Val Jarrett's sock puppet, Barack.

You can't depend on Republican "leadership" either because they've been working with Obama to let this continue

Thank you for the video. That was fun.

It's an example of how the media shapes public opinion.
Using lies and half-truths to misinform.

You do not have a problem with Trump stands in front of the American people and does the same thing, why whine about the media doing it?

So if Trump says anything that can be considered an exaggerated statement you think it's cool to flat lie about him 24/7/365???

Dude, Trump lies through his teeth on a daily basis, why do you defend him and condemn the media?

Personally I take everting everything form both of them with the knowledge they are not telling me the whole truth
