right----in MODERN parlance it is often used as a derogatory term-------like slang.
It is not as derogatory as the classic Arabic word muslims use for non muslims which
is "KAFFIR"---------the word kaffir is derived from a semitic root which denotes
a person who deceitfully and willfully rejects "the truth". There is a word for such a
despicable person in Hebrew-------KOFFAR-----but it is almost never used in any context

I gotta admit I think it would be nice and it would be fun to have Nutty Old Uncle Bernie as president.

    Fun to watch.

Even more fun to see liberals discover where their faith has led them. Their asses will not go unbitten.

    So what?

I was a registered Republican going back beyond Barry Goldwater. But I watched the culture of that party slowly decay and finally turn into something disgusting with the election of the corporate puppet, Ronald Reagan, in 1980, which is when I decided to re-register as a Democrat. I did that only because there is no Independent party in New Jersey and I wish to vote in primaries.

But because of the way the One Percent has seized control of this Nation's economic mechanism I wish there were a Socialist party in New Jersey. Because I would eagerly join it.

I have no problem with other people being rich. It's the super-rich category that troubles me.

Having been born at the peak of the Great Depression, to parents who were rescued from abject poverty by FDR's WPA program, and having personally observed the growth of the American Middle Class, I am deeply resentful of watching it gradually and methodically withered away by an insular category of pathologically greedy, deviously scheming bastards who are best described as modern-day Robber Barons.

While I was fortunate enough to have benefited from the largesse available to the middle class during its growth stages, the late '40s through to the early '80s, I am witness to worrisome changes such as wage stagnation, the insidious acquisition and hoarding of the Nation's wealth by the One Percent, and the methodically devious elimination of protective legal regulations -- and I have three married daughters and five (almost six) grandchildren to be concerned about.

We are looking at the first generation in recent history which is not better off but worse off than its former. And if you have children, or plan to have them, you should be concerned as well.[/QUOTE]
