The President can say whatever he wants. The former director of the FBI has or had no such power. Comey admitted that he intentionally leaked documents to a law professor for the expressed purpose of having the documents printed in the NY Times. It makes Comey an admitted criminal.

Trump tweeted and talked about his meetings with Comey multiple times as he tried and tell the world that he was not being investigated by the FBI... and he talked a bunch of shit after he fired Comey. Is Comey not allowed to respond? He threw a punch back and landed a good one.

That is a very creative way of saying it. Not entirely accurate though. Trump was talking shit and lying about his interactions with Comey so Comey responded, and he did it in a way that help get a special prosecutor involved. It was a pretty good move if you think about it.

the president made public the meeting between him and Comey on twitter to the whole worldwide audience and then every news channel in the world who follows America repeated his tweets,

then after president Trump forfeited any executive privilege he may have presumed he had...by his tweeting,

Comey then released his version of this meeting with Trump, to counter or agree with what Trump described in his tweets, to the Times.
