I notice that Newt frequently uses the Reagan Presidency as a crutch for his own campaign, implying that hand-in-hand they government the nation. But when I looked at their terms of service I noticed that Newt began his service in the Congress in 1979 and that Reagan wasn't sworn in until January 1981. So Newt was the Junior Congressman from Georgia when Ronnie came to office - the President wouldn't have even known his name. Newt became Speaker in 1995, years and years and years after Reagan left office.

How can Newt get away with that?
