Why was heroin called that?
I've heard that opiates are analogous to natural endorphins, and endorphins are released in the context of winning a heroic fight when defeating villains.
Is this the reason why heroin is named after the hero?
How does the number of endorphin receptors vary from person to person?
Do those populations that were formed under conditions of slavery and did not value individual heroism and did not have the cult of Superman have endorphin receptors?
