The central argument against the mandate was that the government was going to penalize you if you didn't purchase a PRIVATE insurance policy.

That's not socialism.

But, on the other hand, who cares? If the socialist countries of the world are getting their socialist healthcare at half the price we're getting ours,

We must however give credit where credit is due. They have proven to be experts at avoiding the question.
