Well I am glad to see that there are some of them idiots like catzmeow that dream of being some sort of cosmos star pilot. To many movies clouded his mind, myself I would rather travel through the stargate. Much faster. LOL
I'm sad to see that there are people who would risk our bill of rights and historic freedoms for a temporary bogeyman. And then, have the audacity to call themselves conservative.
And still you have not proved at all where the Patriot Act has been used on an American Citizen. So it is you that simply don't understand the issue on how the Patriot Act has preserved freedom. It is you that would rather have the government lay down and let our enemies take over. It is you that is the Obama socialist ass kisser. It is you that is the liberal brain washed moron that don't understand what defending our shores is all about. Watch them shifty eyes of the so called conservatives that act like the socialist in the closet. You can see how Cat Stevens turned out, now that cat is out of the cradle an is coming out.
I am a conservative that wants to keep the rights that our forefathers fought for. There is a reason that this country of just over 200 years has become the country it has. It is because of the freedom the US Constitution has given us. We can't give up those freedoms that our forefathers bled and died for.
I don't like the way the country is headed, and feel we need to wake up and look at the history of the world. History shows us that the direction we are heading leads to a weak recovery to this nation.

The rich and the corporations have taken over our country. What "freedom" is being taken away? Do you mean the Patriot Act or the bill they passed just recently that allowed them to lock you up indefinately without due process if you are deemed an "enemy of the state"?
Do you mean how they can now spy on your phone calls?
How does any of this make you a conservative? Us liberals want to put a stop to this too. Maybe you are a liberal and don't even know it.
What do you do for a living? Are you retired now? If so, what did you do? How many hours a week did you work? How much money do you have saved up? Do you collect social security and medicare? Do you think corporations should be able to pit American workers against Chinese wages?
Are you Reagan conservative or Paul Ryan conservative? Do you like Boehner & Mitch McConnell? Do you watch Fox News? Was bailing out GM a good idea? Do you beleive we were lied into war with Iraq?
Yea, old FDR only brought us the greatest yearly increase in GDP, and the largest drop in unemployment in America history.
He probably should have kept on Andrew Mellon as his Treasury Secretary and followed the advice of the Austrian School like Herbert Hoover did.
Throughout this declinewhich carried real GNP per worker down to a level 40 percent below that which it had attained in 1929, and which saw the unemployment rise to take in more than a quarter of the labor forcethe government did not try to prop up aggregate demand. The only expansionary fiscal policy action undertaken was the Veterans Bonus, passed over President Hoovers veto. That aside, the full employment budget surplus did not fall over 192933.

You actually just said that Hoover was Austrian school?
Clearly you're a partisan liar, so why would ANYONE pay heed to the bullshit you post?

Wow, depression has a drop in GNP? Damn, who would have guessed?
Since your post is cut&paste from the hate sites, I'm discarding it.
Economists judge the "New Deal Era" as being between 1933-39. Why? Because the war has it's own economy. Partisan hacks, who do your thinking for you, like to include the war as a New Deal policy.
In 1932, employment was 18% below 1929 peak. Between 1933 and 1939, employment averaged 23% below 1929 peak.
In 1939, the average American worker earned 27% LESS than they had in 1929. How do we rectify the the rise in GNP and the decline in average wealth? Simple, The National Industrial Recovery Act (NIRA). NIRA created monopolies for well connected looters and used to the federal government to crush start up competitors. GNP growth was limited to the 1%: faithful party members and Roosevelt inner-circle members. NIRA organizations had to be Union by law, and the workers in NIRA industries enjoyed wages far beyond what average Americans did, after all, NIRA companies could charge anything they wanted for products, federal law prohibited any competition. The SCOTUS held NIRA unconstitutional and the law was struck down. FDR's cartel continued though, in a less open manner.
Every few years, leftists attempt to rewrite history, as those doing your thinking for you have done.
What 'hate sites' did I use as reference? Be specific.
You post hard numbers without a link? Where is your reference?
That is a violation that should be addressed by a moderator.

ThinkProgress, democratic underground, etc.

Son, I've posted this so many times it's off the top of my head.

ROFL
Your lack of content in your nutsack should be addressed by castration - oops, too late.
I asked you to be specific.
You chose to LIE.
Please show me where I used ThinkProgress or democratic underground?
You use the Wall Street Journal and THAT is not a partisan source?
WOW, and then you call me 'son?
I asked you to be specific.
Who gives a fuck, you pompous little fairy?
You chose to LIE.
I don't lie, son.
Please go fuck a duck.
Your cut&paste originated with Berkley, as you cited, and was used on "The Burning Platform" (a leftist hate site) and "Keynesian Solutions," a site for leftist economics.
You use the Wall Street Journal and THAT is not a partisan source?
I didn't use a source at all. I did something you cannot grasp, I posted my own thoughts. You whined like a little bitch, so I offered a couple of supporting documents, moron.
WOW, and then you call me 'son?
Calling you "bitch" seemed rude, regardless of the accuracy in using the term.
Resort is had to ridicule only when reason is against us.

Your ridicule tell me you are losing badly.
Gee, my source originated with Berkley. So I guess we should throw that out and go with yours...
FDR's policies prolonged Depression by 7 years, UCLA economists calculate
Two UCLA economists say they have figured out why the Great Depression dragged on for almost 15 years, and they blame a suspect previously thought to be beyond reproach: President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
After scrutinizing Roosevelt's record for four years, Harold L. Cole and Lee E. Ohanian conclude in a new study that New Deal policies signed into law 71 years ago thwarted economic recovery for seven long years.

My ridicule just means that I think you're a pompous little fairy.
Once you declared Hoover "of the Austrian school," you couldn't be taken seriously.

Then you need to ridicule yourself, because I never declared Hoover "of the Austrian school", I said he followed the advice of Mellon and the Austrian School.
Hoover himself laments taking the advice of the 'liquidationists' in his memoir.
HERE is what I said.
