Helicopter Carrying Iran’s President Has Crashed, State Media Reports

Vladimir Putin said that momentous documents should be signed with legitimate authorities.
The question about Zelensky's legitimacy after May 20 should be answered by Ukraine's political and legal system. Which does not exist.
He correctly made it clear that he would not sign anything with an expired one.
Of course that's all embarrassingly idiotic theater for the rubes.

Putin does not even recognize Ukraine's right to exist, much less the idea of Ukraine having and sovereignty at all, any right to self determination, or a "legitimate" leader.

This is like saying we don't recognize Fred as the legitimate leader of the 7th dimensional unicorns. So dumb.

Ebrahim Raisi was known as “the Butcher of Tehran”, who conducted thousands of “5 minute trials” in the 1980s and sentenced 5,000 innocent Iranians to death. Iran will be better off without him at the helm.

His fearsome reputation went back to the 1980s - a period that earned him the dubious soubriquet the Butcher of Tehran.

He sat on the so-called Death Panel of four Islamic judges who sentenced thousands of Iranian prisoners of conscience to their deaths during the purge of 1988.

Mr Raisi was personally involved in two of the darkest periods of Iranian repression. And he was seen as one of the favourite contenders to replace the elderly and ailing Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

This is who both the UN and Joe Biden's State Department lovingly eulogized today.

These cocksuckers won't stand for our national anthem, but they'll stand to mourn the "Butcher of Tehran".

Scum.

Hungary has vetoed a Council of Europe resolution on Ukraine.
The resolution provided for recognizing only Zelensky's “peace plan”, which has nothing to do with reality.

Viktor Orban and his team would do well to beef up security. There's no telling what might happen.
Orban is a Putin stooge, just like Trump.

Helicopter carrying Iranian president in accident as rescuers struggle to reach scene

That is all that is known at this time......Nothing trivial I hope. ;)

He's just more of a figurehead to try to lend credibility to an Iranian "democracy"......In truth sort of like FJB.
It's the Ayatollah really in charge.
Look for the red under your bed.
May find it faster by looking in your head! :D

Last month, direct fighting between Israel and Iran raised the level of anxiety. After Israeli strikes killed Iranian military commanders in Syria, Iran responded by firing a barrage of hundreds of munitions toward Israel.

Between the two regional rivals, “the old rules of the game are out. And the new rules are not fully established,” Ali Vaez, director of the Iran project and a senior adviser at the International Crisis Group, said during a panel discussion in Qatar on Monday.

Raisi’s death has added “uncertainty to the ambiguity that existed between Iran and Israel, which increases the risks of miscalculation,” he said.

Raisi, a hard-liner and loyalist of the supreme leader, died in a helicopter crash in Iran’s East Azerbaijan province, along with Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and other officials, Iranian state media announced Monday. Raisi was traveling to the city of Tabriz in northwestern Iran on Sunday after attending the opening of a dam along the border with Azerbaijan when his helicopter crashed.

Mohammad Mokhber, Raisi’s first vice president, was named as interim president until elections could be held for a new president within 50 days, state media said. Iran’s cabinet also appointed Ali Bagheri Kani, previously the top nuclear negotiator, as the country’s acting foreign minister.

On 19 May 2024, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Iran Ebrahim Raisi inaugurated the Giz Galasi hydroelectric complex in addition to commissioning the Khoda Afarin hydroelectric complex.[11][12] Later that day Raisi was killed in a helicopter crash on his way back to Tehran. Also killed was Iran's foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and six others. Initial reports indicate the crash was caused by bad weather.[13]

Israel will not rest until it drags the U.S. into a war with Iran and it has to be done while there is a vegetable president whose entire administration is made up of Jews. There's no second chance so they're going all-in with Iran.
