Why is it considered a "Hate Crime" to burn a cross - but somehow it's NOT a "Hate Crime" to burn an American Flag?

The same reason the Rebel flag represents hate.

A group of people find it offensive, therefore it is bad.

If the KKK used "Hello Kitty" as their symbol....well, you know the rest.

But I find it HIGHLY OFFENSIVE to watch idiots burn the American Flag in protest...

How do you know he's white?

:)

Couldn't EVERY crime be considered a 'hate crime'? Is a murder just a 'pissed off, but not hateful' crime?

Hate-Crime legislastion is b.s. feel-good crap.
