There's a John Kerry add, paid for by Kerry, that says "For the first time in American history, a corporation was allowed to invade a nation. No wonder the UN wasn't involved." And it shoes a picture of Halliburton.

Today, on Osama bin Laden's new audio tape, OBL says, "This war was for big corporations such as Halliburton."

Forget that John Kerry is claiming Halliburton invaded Iraq. Forget that Halliburton people are trying to bring Iraq's oil to its people and are risking their lives doing it. Forget that Kerry says "no wonder the UN wasn't involved" even though the UN gave Saddam 333 violations and didn't do anything.

Forget that.

But... doesn't it concern anyone that John Kerry's radical talking points have become identical to Osama bin Laden's?

Standard policy for the party.

The only thing is now it has become visible.

I don't know the technicalities of Halliburton, buy my husband is a civil engineer and works in the industrial construction industry. He's been saying for months that Halliburton is one of the only, if not THE only company big enough to handle a mission like the one in Iraq. It's simple capitalism. They're the biggest fish, and the only one able to handle it. No sneaky deals with Cheney.

What i dont get is, Haliburton is a multinational corporation that has dealings all over the world. It has had CEO's in the past from both the Democratic and Republican parties.

To say that Cheney still has control of the company that he was CEO of over 8 years ago, is too say that any CEO of any company can still control that said company regardless of how long ago they were in it.

It is due to simple ignorance. If you really read and understand Chenney's parting package, it is not much different than most CEO's would receive. Furthermore his options and future profits on them were put in trust for charities.

your comparson could be named radical, controversal, or hysterical. it's all the same political game: to paint as extreme a portrait of your opponent as possible.
