Guys? Good luck trying to sell CD's now

Country music artists Florida Georgia Line made an unusual request for one of their shows. They played a music festival in Kenosha, WI with that they requested that no law enforcement personnel were permitted back stage before, during and after their set.
Ironically, the band requested a police escort to and from their show. A request which was denied.
Florida Georgia Line Requests No Cops Backstage — So Here’s How Police Respond to Their Request for Escort
Country music fans tend to vote republican and are ardent supporters of both military and the police.
Something tells me this decision by the band members will not be conducive to good sales.
Apparently this was a blown-up misunderstanding. They never said police were not permitted. The police were told they were not needed, because they had their own security detail. Right wingers should be happy, because that saved the taxpayers' money. FALSE: Florida Georgia Line Stops Concert Over Police Presence
Hey genius...The story in the link that I posted said NOTHING about them stopping their show in order to have the police removed. The stuff in your link is made up
The stuff in your link is made up. I'll take snopes any day over The Blaze.
It's a direct quote. So please. Stop the nonsense.
The irony of your statement is that first you support Keys' statement then you discredit my source and in doing so deny she made the statement.
You have no idea what you want. Typical lib...
We're done.
You may now have the last word.....

I have been photographing musicians on and off stage since 1979.

I can't remember ever seeing a police officer being back stage. Their job is in the auditorium with the public. Her request was very unusual since it isn't necessary.

What is back stage is private security. Both provided by the performer and by the venue they're performing at.

As for country western fans. I've worked many country western shows. I finally put my food down in 2013 and have refused to worked a country western show since.

I prefer the civilized audience of a rock and roll concert. Rock and rollers are civilized. They aren't totally bombed on beer and they go to the bathroom anywhere they want. Rock and Roller audiences actually use the sanitary bathroom facilities provided by the venue.

Country western fans just unzip anywhere and relieve themselves. Including a woman who walked up to the front barriers where we photographers sit, pulled down her shorts and relieved herself right in front of the stage. They vomit everywhere and it's disgusting.

Even the heavy metal audience is more civilized than country western audiences.

As for the performers themselves, it's a mixed bag. Some are nothing but a delight to work with. Some aren't. Some actually do more than just stand there in front of a microphone and give me something to photograph but those are the minority.

Why would the fans care if the musician requested no police or not? The fans aren't there for the police. They're there to enjoy a fun evening of music.
You don't get out much then....
Your racism is noted.
As is your uncanny ability to miss the point. So busy circling the wagons around your fellow libs....
And if you believe police are not hired to work events such as sporting and entertainment, you are either willfully blind or full of shit.

I've been photographing musicians on and off stage since 1979. That's 37 years. My list of musicians I've photographed is pages long and has nearly 600 performers on it. Most I've worked with more than once.

I do get out. Probably much more than you.

What does race have to do with anything? Yes I have a problem with country western fans. It has nothing to do with their politics. Politics isn't the reason they're there or why I'm there. It has nothing to do with their race. Country western fans come in all races, shapes and sizes. They're disgusting and very uncivilized. I've endured many of those audiences through the years. I finally had enough of those barbarians that in 2013 I started refusing to work those shows and haven't worked one since. If they were civilized people I would have no problems with them. Country western music is more like pop or classic rock than country now so the music isn't a big problem for me. The musicians are mostly wonderful people who put their fans first. The fans are what I have a problem with. They could be green with purple dots all over them for all I care, my problem is that they relieve themselves anywhere they want, throw up all over the place, are totally bombed on beer, smell very horrible, leave a ton of trash that includes soda bottles filled with their urine.

I don't want to stop them from what they do. They can be as barbaric and uncivilized as they want to be. I just won't cover any of the shows anymore.

I never said the police weren't hired to cover events. I said they do cover them but not backstage. That they're in the auditorium with the fans. Not backstage with the musicians. The musicians have their own security and so does the venue. It's those private security people who search you when you go inside the stadium because it's against the constitution for the police to do it since just walking into a concert isn't a crime or probable cause to search anyone.

Those private security are backstage dealing with the fans who have credentials for a meet and greet or dealing with people like me who are members of the press there to cover the show. They help clear the area for us to walk to and from the front of the stage too. Along with a lot of other things that isn't necessary to waste tax dollars on police.

Your reply was childish and included out right lies. For the only reason that I posted truth to your lies.

Exactly. They should be very happy that the police are out in the auditorium and that the performer was paying for their own security.

The thing is, that's how it's always done. The police aren't backstage. They're out in the auditorium with the public.

What's back stage is private security provided by the venue and in a lot of situations, by the musicians themselves.

I've been working with musicians on stage and back stage since 1979.

Leave it to right wingers to lie.
Bullshit. I have friends that are police officers. They work these events all the time. It's how they augment their income...You don't get to tell me anything.
Private security. Body guards for the performers? Yes.
If anything goes down. the police have sole and legal authority to end the incident. They DO work the ENTIRE venue.
I am not interested in your resume.....In fact , anyone with any integrity would keep such things OFF a public message board.

I never said they weren't at those events. I said they weren't backstage.

You're lying about what I said.

Of course they're there. Just not backstage. They're out with the public in the auditorium and outside the venue patrolling the area. That's their job. To work with the public.

I didn't post my resume. Another lie by you. All I did was point out that I've been photographing musicians on and off stage since 1979 which is 37 years. Which to a normal person would indicate that I know exactly what I'm talking about.

Your problem with me is that I'm posting truths to your lies. I have the experience and credentials to know what I'm talking about. I'm not talking about a mysterious "friend." I'm talking about myself and my personal experiences. Which is first hand knowledge of what actually happens at a concert both back stage and in the auditorium.

Don't bother replying. I won't read it or reply.

Take your hate and lies to someone who has the patience for such childish behavior.

I'm bored with you and your lies.

Blah blah blah.....Standing in a middle of a room screeching out your accomplishments gets you zero mileage here. Nobody cares,
You stereotype a predominantly Caucasian demographic...Racism. Closed minded and elitist are your views.
Ahh yes. The old fallback position of all liberals. "You're a liar".....Cupcake, you are full of shit.
The issue is no longer open for discussion.

Well, the Blaze has more integrity than the New York Times, which still showcases the Pulitzers earned by the liars they had on the payroll who denied that Stalin was killing anyone in the USSR.
