An interesting opinion with an interesting viewpoint.

Cruz is the larger threat to establishment because, if he wins, they lose all the levers of power. McConnell and his allies would be tossed out of organizations such as the Republican National Committee, National Republican Senatorial Committee, National Republican Congressional Committee, etc... If history is any guide, the sitting president of a political party has a large leeway in choosing those in key power positions. That puts the earning potential and power of the current political industrial complex in complete jeopardy. -

It also comes to the view that Shrillary can beat Trump but not Cruz. Once again, IMHO, the Establishment has totally lost touch with Middle America. They cannot see who Trump has mobilized or what his potential is.

Cruz will not win anymore than would a Trump.

Cruz, unlike Trump, would protect the Senate for a GOP majority. That does not matter as far as ACA goes, because a Dem president will smile and hold up the veto pen.

If anyone on the right wins, I hope it is Trump
My husband who was in politics , thinks Cruz is the Anti-Christ ...He creeps me out too.

.

Trump won't win, and, yes, I wondered if Cruz has a wiff of the brimstone, myself.

Yes, the GOP establishment fears Cruz. So also does the Democrat establishment. Both also fear Trump and Rand Paul. Cruz and Rand Paul are the only two sitting Senators that actively take on the Washington Establishment.

We are fools. There is no real difference between a Harry Reid and a Mitch McConnell. We have allowed these government leeches to become practically untouchable. Those of the Washington elite have voted themselves enough pay raises and have been elected and re-elected so many times they have a very comfortable life and have no regard for your quality of life. By now, should the voters actually awaken from their long slumber and boot those of the Washington establishment out of office, they will laugh and run off into the sunset with a retirement fund that will keep them in leisure for the remainder of their days. We did to ourselves. We are to blame.

It's just like Hillary. The woman is a multimillionaire. She can afford a $600.00 haircut. Do you really believe in your heart of hearts that Hillary Clinton really gives a damn about the Black Lives Matter crowd, the plight of women in society, or the person working at McDonalds?

Ted Cruz certainly has his problems. So does Donald Trump. In my own mind, Rand Paul is a man after my own heart. He fights hard against waste in government. He is totally against regime change, nation building, and the US being involved in wars all over the Middle East. He is for insuring for the personal privacy of the citizen, for a government small and lean and less intrusive into the daily affairs of its citizens. It is too bad the American people are against the very principles Mr. Paul is fighting for in Congress. The man has just stated that he will not appear on the also rans in the upcoming Republican debate.

The Conservative base want change. That is true. We are sick and tired of governmental intervention into nearly every aspect of our lives. We are tired of the waste, fraud, and abuse as well as in the corruption and political partisanship of our government agencies, and in the trampling of our sacred Constitution. We are sick and tired of career Washington Establishment politicians who's only interest is serving the wishes of their wealthy super pacs and lobbyist donors. This is why we will support a candidate who is not a Washington elite or has a proven record of fighting them.
