A little-known Republican amendment to the James Zadroga 9/11 Health And Compensation Law - which provides health coverage for 9/11 responders who have become sick from working at Ground Zero - requires that 9/11 responders' names be run through the FBI’s terrorism watch list. Any responders who are not run through the database would be barred from taking advantage of the law. Needless to say, 9/11 responders are not happy about this.

Pertinent information left out is the fact that anyone who was near the vicinity from construction worker to a garbage man is eligible for these benefits. Therefore they wanted to assure that no terrorist got on the list.

Why do we always see these faux patriots standing up for anything that works against people like our soldiers, policemen, firemen, or anyone else that actually puts their life on the line for the rest of us?

The essence of the Conservative outlook lies in opinions that are held dogmatically with a complete disregard for any new evidence that may lead to their abandonment.

Sounds reasonable enough to me. Why would anyone object? Unless of course they have something to hide.
