... ole Newt is still super strong in South Carolina! He's managed to stop his decline & level out, at least for now. In the national scene Gingrich is still the BOSS in the polls...

...though in a step drop on the graph. If Newt can reinvent himself in the next 2 weeks he might be able to hold off Mitt Romney & remain viable. This close to the primary kicking off Newt has to stay on damage control or go down like a lead balloon. Anyone seeing Newt holding off Romney???

Actually, what I see in these polls is that Romney has remained relatively flat...

The "Not Romney" number is still over 75% of voters.

So the question is, do the "Not Romney" voters

1) Stick with Newt as others are eliminated
2) Look for another alternative- perhaps give Perry a second look.
3) Roll over and support Romney unethusastically.
4) Look for a third party to support.
