Germany Votes To Abandon Most Green Energy Subsidies

I guess the Germans figured out that the 17% output of rated capacity of their wind farms wasn't worth the money

I'd say their decision to cut back on subsidies and be content for now with wind providing 45% of their national capacity is not going to be accurately explained by a one sentence post on a discussion board.

You mean with rated capacity of 45% don't you?

How come you people never talk about the dismal real life output of wind power?

Because it's irrelevant. How come you never talk about the true cost of power systems that have emitted gigatons of carbon compounds into our atmosphere?

119% growth :ack-1::ack-1::ack-1:

Sure sounds impressive doesn't it?:eusa_dance:

Listen..........a quick message to non-religion alarmists........folks who might be viewing this thread to measure the landscape on this stuff, perhaps for the first time...........

I urge people to do their own research and not depend on the rigged presentations put forth by these progressives who are compelled to twist shit to make it look impressive. To try to create a mindset based upon half-truths and manipulation. Its their way........deceit is at the heart of most of the stuff they post up in here......spend a few weeks in here and it becomes plainly clear. Their ruse cant survive doing it any other way..........and they know it too btw!!

So we have 4 posts above that scream gigantic growth of solar energy......and the charts sure do look impressive as hell right?

But solar ( and wind btw ) are only impressive when compared to themselves. Go do your own research ( staggering amounts of info HERE > More Proof the skeptics are WINNING!! ).

What you will find is......."costs" of solar and wind are far, far more than the alarmist religion presents........they hide the hidden costs that people like the Germans found out when they started getting their electric bills a few years ago and voters blew their stacks.:2up:. Read about the "costs" of transmission lines needing to be run hundreds of miles......a fact always left out of the global warming alarmist presentation ( see post #14 above for the real "costs". ). The alarmists MUST make these presentations phony or the whole premise of "global warming" becomes moot.

Progressives never tell the public what your electric bill is going to be with a push for more renewables.......but its gonna get mega-expensive ( don't take my word for it.....go YOUTUBE President Obama on "electricity necessarily skyrocketing".....2008 ).

Also what alarmists never tell you...........solar power still accounts for meeting less than 1% of our electricity needs:coffee: Go check it yourself folks...........

Solar Provides 0.2% of Electric Supply--Up From 0.02% Before Obama

Now go back and see the posts above by the alarmists :eek-52::eek-52::eek-52:. Pretty funny huh?:spinner:

Yep......when progressive alarmists start presenting eye-popping charts and stats, smart people get their radar up HUGE!!

Oh....and meanwhile, while the alarmists dream is to slam the public with double electricity rates ( to reduce carbon ) China and India are building 3 new coal plants each month!!! But we should blow our own faces off with a shotgun so we can feel better about lowering CO2, which many scientists say might not even matter at all!!!

If you can connect the dots even just a little, you know why many call this "climate change" stuff a total sham.

One new coal plant goes into operation EVERY WEEK in China!!! The number of coal-fired power plants located in China. (One new power plant goes into operation every 4 to 7 days in China).

But the alarmist k00ks...........the alarmist k00ks are telling us every day in here how "China is going green!!"

Folks........when you add it all up, this alarmist religion is just full of crap.........well, its clear when you do some research and check out the facts!!

Gee..........the climate skeptics sure are stoopid aren't they??!!!:bye1:
The envirowacko green machine adds huge taxes to Coal fired Generation, making it appear that wind power is lower in cost, This makes it appear they are in line with Coal generation by inflating Coal generation prices. They hide the cost increase in the coal plants costs for wind and solar.. Its one big huge deception... BY THE LEFT WING NUT BAGS!

The taxation on Coal is killing millions of jobs and making our power cost skyrocket.. Ignorant bastards like Obama are a danger to the US.. And most feel good loons are happy to pay up even if it makes them homeless....

"Cheap" wind still needs fossil fuel backups. I guess it's not as cheap as you claim.
As shown by German electricity rates nearly 4 times ours.

China’s 2030 CO2 Emissions Could Equal the Entire World’s Today
All those articles were written before 2014. Since that time, China's use of coal has actually been declining.

Analysis: Decline in China's coal consumption accelerates - Carbon Brief

China’s coal use declined 3.7% in 2015, according to official statistics released by the Chinese government today.

This is the second year running that the consumption of China’s most polluting fuel has declined. What’s more, the reduction took place while the economy grew.

The data will raise hopes that coal use in the country has finally peaked.

The statistics reveal that the decline in coal is accelerating. In 2014, China’s coal usedeclined by 2.9%. The year before that, it increased by 3.7%, illustrating the country’s marked energy turnaround.

Meanwhile, renewables continued to grow, with solar capacity increasing by 74% in 2015, and wind by 34%.

According to Greenpeace analysis of the figures, this means that China’s CO2 emissions declined by 1-2% in 2015.

There they go again........using vague convenient words like "declining"......."accelerating"........."peaked". Note progressives never define these kind of terms.:bye1:. They look impressive as hell to the uninformed asshole taking a glance at this shit........and that's the whole strategy. When losing......dupe everybody.

Here's the poop for those interested in reality........China is upping its coal production by 50% between now and 2050. Go google it......there are about 4 billion links.

China’s Growing Coal Use Is World’s Growing Problem

duh....alarmist pull that phony lying stunt of highlighting the date of a link..........but heres the problem.............these alarmist liars don't tell you that coal plants take years to build and the amount in the pipeline is staggering >> China's coal bubble: 155 coal-fired power plants in the pipeline despite overcapacity - Energydesk .........thus something written in 2014 is very, very current. duh...................

Again........the progressive never puts into context the primary issue: "As compared to what?"

A 2.9% decline looks impressive.......until you look at the overall production = 2 - 3 new coal plants built PER MONTH in China!!!

Yep......thats sure some decline!!!!:2up::eusa_dance::eusa_dance:

Remember.......when an alarmist starts throwing out statistics with impressive words attached, the ruse is on in full force!!

Oh....and don't forget.........as with any progressive, "costs" never matter. Its a non-issue to them. No matter who gets hosed with covering the costs, the means to the ends is more important to these anti-capitalist fascists.

Again......check post #14 in this thread if you are interested in the true costs of wind power ( far, far higher than the green company talking points they present :gay: ). Mega expensive energy. Same with solar............why do you think over 20 years, solar is STILL accounting for less than 1% of meeting out electricity needs? Because it is expensive a shit!! munch

Just wanted to me sure nobody missed this.........huge kick in the nut sack of the AGW community.

So much skeptic winning lately, I cant even take it!!:2up: And just today, Soetero downgraded economic growth outlook ( lol....hovering just over 1% anyway:banana:). Thats always awesome news for renewable energy!!

Skeptic munch..........

Let's see, Two countries, A and B, were just formed out of the empty wilderness. Country A has built from scratch a 100% fossil fuel energy grid. Country B, of an identical size, population and total power consumption, has built a grid powered 50% by fossil fuel and 50% by wind. Which country then spends more per year for their energy? Why does the ZERO FUEL COST parameter just seem to go in one denier ear and out the other?

The base where I do most of my work has been powered for many years by a diesel power plant. Recently, the government installed a single, 1MW wind turbine on base that is fully integrated with the existing system. The base still uses it's diesel generators but when the wind is above 8-10 knots, they are able to shut down several of them. In the turbine's first month of operation is saved the government ~$30,000 in fuel costs.

Deniers seem to make the assumption that adding wind or solar always requires ADDING fossil fuel systems as backup. That is not the case.

Because it's irrelevant. How come you never talk about the true cost of power systems that have emitted gigatons of carbon compounds into our atmosphere?
Of course it's relevant

If you factor in the fact that actual performance is one fifth or less of rated capacity then actual cost is more than 5 times those stated.

and the energy I would promote emits nothing and works at near 90% capacity all day every day
