George Soros May Face a Monster Tax Bill

The unions alone, threw 3.3 billion $$'s at Dems in 2012. Mkney their members are coerced to give without any say so in which candidates they support. Do you ever hear the Dems complaining?
You know how much the unions gave and to whom, we do not have that information for the wealthy donors of the various super PACs and that is a major problem for the future of elections in this country. Dark money is inherently corrupt.

That money is forced from many through blackmail, yet you see that as ok. They haven't a bit of input.

So, you want to limit all the money to those that have no fear of the mob. Gotcha. You don't mind that others are forced to submit their dollars to candidates they know are bad for our economy. FORCED. Due to your side of the equation, it bothers you not, as you know you will never have to deal with that mob trying to destroy you and your loved ones, even though they've done nothing wrong. All it takes is the illusion of wrong doing to destroy someone or their company that supplies jobs to others.
Yet you are ok with it.

Public money is no less so, when it is wrapped up in Democratic hustling, err ribbons.

And you fail to see the big donors are always visible through the media from the gop side. Much less so, are the Democratic ones.

No one is forced to work in a union shop except by the above average pay and benefits. If anyone wants to not work under such conditions they are welcome to go to a non-union shop, take a big pay cut, lose benefits and no one is there to stop them.

I always say, what is good for the goose is good for the gander...

If all money is removed, visible and invisible I am all for it.

Both ends of the spectrum scream about the money that influences the other side while ignoring the money that influences their own side.

Incredible.

No mirrors in the homes of partisan ideologues, zero, none.

There is always money in politics, the point is: What is that money buying? Is it democracy or plutocracy? On the republican side the answer to that question is crystal clear.

Why, of course it is! (sarcasm)
Get real.

I say bullshit on that concept. Government will NEVER adequately regulate itself. They write the laws and create the loopholes.

What needs to be done is reduce their power to SPEND on bullshit policies and programs that either get no results, or end up creating more problems. Take away the ability for the government to engage in cronyism, and a lot of campaign cash will dry up and many lobbyists will have to find real jobs.

The only way to do that is for the public to pay attention and maintain a foot on the throat of their political whores. We should be their pimps, not their slaves.

What group has the only active effort to reform political money? Progressive liberals, that's who, get some tea party types to join the effort and maybe conservatives will have some room to criticize.

Reducing their power to spend would be very welcome.

That is the root of the problem with money in politics. Take away their power, and there is nothing for corrupt business interests to try and purchase.

Good luck getting that past bed wetters who want cradle to grave care at everyone else's expense though

You are unfamiliar with the concept of a power vacuum, allow me explain. Take away the government's power and something else more corrupt and opportunistic will seize those levers of power. A good example is what happens when public services are privatized, it's no cheaper and service becomes worse.
