I have not read Bardot's book and have no clue what assertions she makes therein. Apparently in France she does not have the right to speak her mind unless the government approves.

I will tell you quite honestly William that I disagree with the overwhelming majority of your views on race, but I believe that your right to state them is unequivocal.

It appears that if we want to see the future effects of the policy of politically correct speech currently in vogue in this country, we need look no further than Europe in general and France in particular.
