The Johnson Amendment uses the threat of tax exemption to prohibit religious bodies and nonprofits from engaging in politics. That is denying many people their right to free speech. The suggestion that a person cannot praise God and also have an opinion about politics is outrageous- punishing them for doing two things at once is tyranny.
