This may be an augur of what may indeed happen next Nov. 2018. It may be just an "opinion,"but its based on Cook's stellar reputation in handicapping political waves.

Cook Political Report predicts Democratic 'wave' in 2018

Cook Political Report, a top nonpartisan election handicapper, is predicting a wave of Democratic victories in the 2018 midterm elections.

In a new analysis, Cook editor Amy Walter says she feels a similarity to a wave of Democratic congressional victories in 2006, in which the party took control of the House, the Senate and a majority of governorships during former President George W. Bush's second term.

A lot can happen in a year, and Democrats have a knack for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Hey, while he's out golfing, Donald Trump could craft a bill which gives you healthcare at a tiny fraction of the cost...

From the above cited article.....

Last month, Cook Political Report shifted 12 House districts in favor of Democrats a year ahead of the 2018 midterms.

A poll released at the beginning of November showed Democrats hold an 11-point lead over Republicans on a generic House ballot.

The Washington Post/ABC News poll found that 51 percent of registered voters said they would vote for the Democrat in their district, while 40 percent said they would vote for the Republican.

Democrats will need to gain 24 seats to take control of the House in 2018.

DEMS: We are so going to beat the Republicans in 2018!

VOTER: Why?

DEMS: Because the Republicans are thieving, racist assholes stealing from the poor and giving to the rich!

VOTER: So who you got to replace them?

DEMS: Ummmm...someone better!

VOTER: Who?

DEMS: Ummm...this old socialist guy.

My fear is that the orange idiot will start a war to divert attention from all the crap that is hitting his miserable ass.

Let's say this GOP tax bill passes. It's the ObamaCare of income tax reform. The middle class gets royally fucked.

If you don't believe me, you can see for yourself right here: Do You Win Or Lose Under The GOP Tax Plan: Find Out For Yourself Here

And let's say Trump doesn't excrete a health reform bill from his ass which makes your health insurance "a tiny fraction of the cost, bleev me".

Your health insurance will continue to skyrocket. In fact, it will climb even faster than it did under ObamaCare.

If it gets that bad, the Democrats could run some old socialists and still win. Socialists will start looking pretty good to the masses.

Hell, some of the pseuodocons on this forum have been showing socialistic tendencies for years.

In 2006 there was a backlash against the Iraq War

I really think the electorate is too complacent and too accepting of a fractured government

Wait for the GOP campaign ads featuring Dem rapists and serial sexual harassment of women, then poll women, RIP Dem party.
People vote with their wallet. After all, they chose a businessman who made pie in the sky promises even though he is a pussy grabbing serial adulterer. The stench of hypocrisy is all over you.

When Americans see their insurance going to record highs over the next year, they will vote with their wallets.

When Americans see their tax bill going higher after the GOP bill is passed, they will vote with their wallets.

Nitwit. Americans 401ks are growing! If they vote with their wallets they will retire far better off than with the DNC!

Two-Thirds of Americans Aren’t Putting Money in Their 401(k)

Only the wealthy have been benefiting from the rising stock market for the past nine years.

The middle class is getting fucked. And the GOP tax plan is going to fuck them more.

And Trump's "tiny fraction of the cost" health care lie is already way above and beyond Obama's "you can keep your doctor".

Yet the pseudocons are somehow bragging he's the greatest President EVAH!

Hey, nitwit. The stock market grew 300 percent under Obama. It has not grown any faster under Trump than it did under Obama.

Man, you really are NOT paying attention at all. You just parrot lies fed to you.

Obama: "If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor."

Trump: "That begins with immediately repealing and replacing the disaster known as Obamacare. You're going to have such great health care, at a tiny fraction of the cost—and it's going to be so easy!"

The Moore-Franken contrast will also work against the Ds. If, as I expect, Moore loses the election narrowly and wins the defamation suit bigly while Franken stays in office the Ds are dead meat for years. Better contrast for the majority of voters who are women.
