So many people fleeing, and the surrounding countries are stretched thin. I wonder if some of the other Muslim countries such as Morocco and Tunisia can start taking some in. Perhaps even Saudi Arabia since it wasn't too long ago that it deported 50,000 of its Ethiopians workers and these refugees can take their place.

A new report says the plight of people fleeing Syria’s civil war has reached “a new level of hopelessness” as overstretched neighbours make it more difficult to leave and developed countries resettle a tiny number of refugees.
The report by the International Rescue Committee and the Norwegian Refugee Council says the number of refugees has dropped sharply, with 18,483 registered in October 2014, while an average of 150,000 were registered each month in 2013.
