Today with more votes counted, the Democratic challenger to Stevens pulled out in front by a total of "3" votes.

As soon as the rest of the votes get in by dogsled from Gnome, we will know more.

    And this is 2008?

Do you have a link? It will be funny if Ted "dont drop the soap" Stevens loses by 1 vote!

Great news! One more decent person to represent our nation instead of another irresponsible Republican that wants to increase the national debt and the military.

There isn't one single president since the great depression who hasn't increased the national debt.

We do need to gut the military - tear it down and re-build it into a completely, much more modern and agile military that could take on a country like Russia in a full blown war, and could handle a small-scale guerilla war. Our men and women need to have the latest technology, the best armor, the best intelligence... we need to treat them like a foreign ambassador is treated at the finest new york city restaurants.

Hell YES I want to gut the military because whats gonna win in the 21st century is BRAINS not braun. I want out military to be the most technologically advanced, but I want to get rid of all these unnecessary military bases. We spend way more than anyone on military and where has it gotten us? Just ask the Chinese(the next superpower), they are winning on INTELLIGENCE, not military numbers.

These days of nuclear war and the fact that you can shoot a missile from South Carolina right up the ass of a camel in Iran, the need for alot of troops is becoming extinct
