Statement of Disbursements - United States House of Representatives, 112th Congress, 1st Session

Since 2009 the SOD has been published online to increase governmental transparency and accountability. (thanks Obama)
As a result of a new House financial system, all SODs from the fourth quarter of 2010 onward will display new transaction codes while maintaining the same data transparency as before. These codes (AP for Accounts Payable; AR for Accounts Receivable and GL for General Ledger) will replace all previously used SOD transaction codes. More »

Rep. Chip Cravaack (R-MN): $25,580.84
Rep. Sean Duffy (R-WI): $24,525.00
Rep. Bill Flores (R-TX): $10,997.45
Rep. Cory Gardner (R-CO): $20,978.07
Rep. Bill Johnson (R-OH): $4,889.76
Rep. Mike Pompeo (R-KS): $8,848.00
Rep. Steve Womack (R-AR): $10,746.59
TOTAL: $106,643

Many of the vehicles go beyond a standard sedan. For example, Cravaack is charging taxpayers more than $1,000 a month to pay the lease on his 2011 Chevy Equinox, a crossover SUV with all-wheel drive.

Seven Tea Party Freshmen Spent More Than $100,000 In Taxpayer Money On Personal Cars

Wow. And they held America hostage on "fiscal conservatism".

In truth, I don't give a shit. Equinoxes are relatively cheap vehicles that get fairly OK gas mileage. But it does kind if fly in the face of their "we consider public service a SERVICE to the public, not to ourselves" thing. If they really felt that way....they're making enough money to buy their own dammed cars...but really? It's small potatoes.

Trolls don't know how to use the SEARCH FUNCTION

what a friggen WASTE

Typical of the teabaggers, they are nothing but a bunch of america hating idiots.

So what did they actually spend the money on? Because those are fairly good prices on cars.

Are they renting? Buying on behalf of the government? leasing?

Because depending on how they are spending the money, that could be a reasonable price.

You're right those gay groups that like to teabag each other are socialist american hating groups, I'm glad you realize that.

From the House.gov site:
Vehicle Leases - United States House of Representatives, 112th Congress, 1st Session
Important Notices About Leasing Vehicles

Vehicle leases for the 112th Congress may not commence prior to January 3, 2011.

For payments to be made from a Member's Representational Allowance (“MRA”), a leased vehicle must be selected from the list of vehicles designated by the Environmental Protection Agency (“EPA”) as “low greenhouse gas emitting vehicles.” Sedans must have a Greenhouse Gas Score of at least 7; SUVs must have a Greenhouse Gas Score of AT LEAST 6 (SIX). To find out which vehicles qualify in your state, use the EPA's Green Vehicle Guide.
Here it is:
Federal Vehicle Acquisition | Green Vehicle Guide | US EPA
Search results for Rep. Chip Cravaack's LEASED Chevy Equinox:
Advanced Search | Green Vehicle Guide | US EPA

According to the EPA site, a Chevy Equinox scores a 6.

What's the OP's f*ckin' problem?

I'll tell you what his problem is: He's the typical lazy assed Liberal who lives off of being spoon fed propaganda. He's a lazy Liberal who can't even do his own research THAT'S what his problem is.

So blind with partisan hatred that he doesn't even see that he's being played.

"Helicopter" Ben Bernanke loaned out 7.7 Trillion dollars to foreign Banks and what does rderp get upset about? What he's TOLD to get upset about THAT'S what!

What a f*ckin' moran!

I'm willing to BET, rderp doesn't even know what a Member's Representational Allowance (“MRA”) is until he "Google's" it.

If this is what is getting rdean all worked into a foaming at the mouth frenzy, then it's full on...

If these tea party representatives want to talk their talk, they should walk the walk. They should volunteer to give up their vehicle allowance and buy their own vehicles. Like I said, I really don't care. But at the same time, they aren't forced to take that allowance.

So they cant lease a vehicle unless it's one approved of by the government?
They can only use their MRA money on a Gov't/EPA approved car or SUV, a rule that was instituted by "San Fran Nan" Nancy Pelosi by the way.

The first "Teabagger" on the list rderp posted has a qualifying, leased car and is not breaking ANY rules and I'm thinking none of the others are either.

Of course, Congress Critters can buy any car they want if they use their own money.

Abed those that scream the loudest about spending should probably do just that....set an example for the rest, ya know?

maybe Tony Rezko will give them a $625,000 parcel of land?

Obama lied about Romney, what else is he lying about?
