FBI surprised Bill Clinton took $500,000 from Russia | Daily Mail Online

Oct 23 2017 When former President Bill Clinton received a $500,000 check from a Kremlin-linked bank in 2010 to give a speech in Moscow it served, to the FBI, as further evidence the Russians had unleashed an influence campaign designed to get access to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

The Hill newspaper reported Sunday night that the FBI had been keeping close tabs on a Russian spy network that was trying to inch closer to the Clintons at the dawn of the Obama administration, with one spy – who was eventually arrested and deported – briefly posing successfully as an American accountant and working for a top Democratic donor.

FBI agents were 'surprised by the timing and size,' the Hill wrote, of Bill Clinton's half-million dollar speech, which has raised conflict-of-interest questions about Hillary Clinton, as the transaction occurred around the same time she was being asked to sign off on a uranium deal, which gave Russia 20 percent of the U.S.'s deposits.

Right, so, you have an EX-President making a speech in Russia and he got paid for it.

Why do you think this is an issue at all? He wasn't president.

Hillary his wife was Secretary of State. Bill was paid double if not triple his normal speaking fee.

Okay, but Bill wasn't secretary of state, was he? And was he taking this money for getting political connections of just for making a speech?

I can't lie, I cannot believe the FBI would know and not at least have a chat with Old Bill. I have read so many books and details about the FBI and they don't mess around. They are known to go after big fish and also to not chase rabbits. They are also very proud of what they do, I watch many Netflix shows to boot on top of the reputation I have read extensively about.

This is unacceptable and I have to think that the potential threats of rogue activities by FBI agents in New York of leaking Clinton details during the election encompasses all of these details.

The arrogance of Clinton remaining in the spotlight, doing interviews, promoting her book is going to cause her and her husband grief. There is a younger generation who care little about her husbands contribution as president, it was before their time. With so many people struggling and they see an entire family living well without any business activities except for selling influence, well, accountability has to be on the minds of many.

Actually $500k is about right for a speech...

Wait...so now doing business with Russians is a bad thing again?
Does Donald know this?
Sheesh, it's hard to keep up.

Okay, but Bill wasn't secretary of state, was he?

No he wasn't

And was he taking this money for getting political connections of just for making a speech?

That is the question that needs to be answered. Hillary's involvement in the Uranium 1 deal makes it suspicious.

This is just a pretty crap way of trying to tie in the Clintons... The Russians helped Trump and attacked Clinton in the election, that doesn't look like someone that took a bribe.

It is a nice try but the whole premise doesn't stack up... This is the usual RW throw enough shit and some might stick.

Potentially it does.

However the issues here are generally the same issues as everything else in US politics. Nothing is going to change, nothing is going to be clearer unless the system changes, more political parties are in play, voters have a choice and the billionaires' money stops being a decisive factor.

"Where he once had drawn $150,000 for a typical address in the years following his presidency, Clinton saw a succession of staggering paydays for speeches in 2010 and 2011, including $500,000 paid by a Russian investment bank and $750,000 to address a telecom conference in China."

Did Russia really try to hurt Hillary? They took out ads against a candidate who had no chance of winning.

Russia spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on the Clintons and Obamas by comparison they spent a hundred thousand on Facebook ads.

The Trump "Russian collusion conspiracy investigation" and the Uranium 1 bribery deal are directly related.

Mueller was possibly involved with the Uranium 1 bribery deal at the very least complacent in it and is now "investigating" Trump involved with the very same people he has possible criminal to connections.

When the new guy keeps stinking up the joint, a Clinton thread isn’t far behind.
Like clockwork.
