Family of UCC victim tells Obama he's wrong.

The school policy is no guns. The school enacted that policy in defiance of the law. Ppl generally are not willing to risk disciplinary action for the sake of cc if they are full time students.

Meanwhile it figures that the stupidest, and arguably the most mentally ill, poster here is the first to start screeching in a post where mental illness is preferred as the most likely culprit in this situation.

There was at least one armed person right there who chose not to use his gun.

This one nutter in the OP has no right to tell the families of the victims they should not be able to meet with President Obama. If he doesn't like him or does not agree with his message - fine but these people have lost loved ones. The nutters never think about that.

They are allowed, dummy, if you want to call that protection, which it isn't.

Be careful who you call a dummy.

In 2011, the Oregon Court of Appeals agreed with the foundation's case. It let permit holders carry on public college grounds. The state higher education board then voted a year later to use a legal loophole to ban guns in university buildings, classrooms, residence halls and sports events, according to the Oregonian.

But that policy didn't cover Umpqua Community College, which has its own governing board. Nevertheless, Umpqua had its own rule prohibiting guns. Vocativ reported the regulation read: "Possession, use or threatened use of firearms (including but not limited to BB guns, air guns, water pistols and paint guns), ammunition, explosives, dangerous chemicals or any other objects as weapons on campus property, except as expressly authorized by law or college regulations, is prohibited."

Great, so why was a CC holder on campus then? Oh right, he didn't give a damn about the rules, same as you.

You have two options, kids:
1. Go only places where you can carry, most in this case wouldn't have been old enough to anyway even if allowed to.
2. Break the rules and carry anyway but if busted deal with it like an adult.

I could make a no guns campus (except for guards) so popular we can pay for all the security and you can attend John Wayne U in a trailer at the back of a gun range. Problem solved.

Was this alleged CC holder armed? If so, what action did he take?

The kid chose to go that school, gun free zone and all. President Obama has nothing to do with that school's policy.

btw, it's a community college. If the 'community' there is so 'rural', and 'conservative', and pro-gun, why didn't they use their influence to make the school allow guns?
