This is a fascinating story. This woman was arrested for creating deepfake images but the images were real.

It was cooked up by an ambitious DA and a local. police officer. The pix turned out to be real. The DA is now a judge abd the policeman is now locked up for kiddy fiddling.

The woman is now sueing.

There seem to be several holes in the legal system here. None of them seem to have been addsressed.

At the very least all police forces should have access to equipment and expertise if they need it. It would prevent 20 mill lawsuits if they did so.

It's hard to feel too sorry for her. No, it's not defendable for the cops to accuse you of doing something you never did and that applies to everyone and then have them actually arrest you but, it's still hard to feel real bad for her.

Qualified Immunity, a legal concept of tortured reasoning and sophistry by Earl Warren.

Society at large AND the law enforcement community would be much better off without it.
