Equality: The Liberal Definition

Of course, the current discrimination in university is just one more iteration of the same kind of strain.....

....but shouldn't the 'enlightened' Liberals running the show today, know better?

12. " Complaints about bias in college admissions have persisted since at least the 1920s, when a Harvard University president tried to cap the number of Jewish students. In November, a group called Students for Fair Admissions filed a suit against Harvard University for admissions policies that allegedly discriminate against Asian Americans. The group cited the 2004 Princeton study and other sources that offer statistics about Asian Americans' test performance.

At the University of Texas at Austin, an affirmative action policy that allows admissions committees to consider the race of prospective applicants has been argued all the way to the Supreme Court. (The policies were upheld by a lower court, but that court's decision was voided by the Supreme Court. Another court upheld the policies and another appeal is pending.)

A 2014 bill that would have asked voters to consider restoring race as a factor in admissions to public California colleges and universities sparked multiple public protests and scathing editorials in Chinese newspapers. The bill, Senate Constitutional Amendment 5, was shelved last year." For Asian Americans a changing landscape on college admissions - LA Times

According to Liberals/Progressives/Democrats certain 'authorized' groups form classes with special rights and privileges based on identifying features such as skin color and/or the language that they speak.

Such are the realities America faces by giving up it's values in favor of identity politics, i.e., Liberalism.

Notice that not one apologist for Liberalism has championed racial preferences in this thread.

Perhaps they've recognized evil, at long last.
well, maybe it would be a good idea if you would define "equality" in your own words. what precisely, is your definition of equality?

I did.

The very first item in the OP.

So....what meds are you taking for your A.D.D.?
okay, that is your premise. I will take that as your idea of equality. so, what do you see as the liberal idea of equality - besides the reference to equality of outcome?

Do you really require me to re-submit each and every one of my posts in the thread?

This isn't government school.

just want to know your personal and political objections to "equality". has this ideology damaged you in some way?

1. "...just want to know your personal and political objections..."

"Whenever liberals are in a tight spot, they adopt the scorched-earth policy of argumentation. With no answer, they start demanding that you define words: What do you mean “liberal”? What do you mean “democracy”? What do you mean “patriotism”?

They retreat from argument, burning the English language as they go."
- Ann Coulter

2. "has this ideology damaged you in some way?"

You are questioning how Americans are damaged by treating people differently depending on their skin color, country of origin, or language???

Seriously?

"To argue with a person who has renounced the use of reason is like administering medicine to the dead." Thomas Paine

I do not denounce anything. equality of opportunity is what I look for. many do not understand this - do you? opportunity does not indicate you get preferred treatment, but equal treatment as required. equality also should indicate (but does not always do so ) that you get the same opportunity all others SHOULD HAVE. we haven't got there yet. not being a liberal (or a conservative, for that matter) I'm not sure of your concerns. what exactly are your concerns.

Either you are too stupid to understand the plain English of my previous posts, or your your repeated 'I don't get it' is a tiresome, sophomoric ploy.

I'm betting on the latter.

To repeat your same contrived compliant is an example of what Aquinas called 'ignorantia affectata - a cultivated ignorance'.

"The deniers first deceive themselves that they are sincere in their adherence to falsehoods. Thus they cannot be faulted for acting on genuinely held views. But in truth, they have cultivated an ignorance of the facts, what Thomas Aquinas called ignorantia affectata. An ignorance so useful that one protects it at all costs, in order to continue using it in one’s own self interest.
This ignorance is not exculpatory, but inculpatory.
Forgive them not, for they know full well what they do.'
RICHARD BADALAMENTE

I'll assume that you are perfectly happy with the inequality that Liberals claim as equality, and your repetition is the best defense you can come up with.

Yet another straw man fallacy from the OP, yet another failed thread, yet another lie.

Another empty post from the moron, C_Chamber_Pot.

So....how come you are never able to assemble an actual critique, complete with the sort of support that I provide?

Is it because I'm totally correct or because you're an imbecile?
You can be honest....which one?
He is not boring like you.

1. "He is not boring like you."

Bad grammar makes me (sic).

You dopes....right out of third grade.

Try 'He's not as boring as you are.'

2. In addition to the ignorance evidenced by your attempted post, you lie.

You know as well as I that I'm as far from boring as you are from 'educated.'

3. Why don't you tell the truth. You don't find me boring, you find me rude, abrasive and sarcastic....and you hate how I destroy you every time.
On the outside I may appear rude, abrasive and sarcastic, but, just like an onion, when you peel away the layers, ...you'll find the same thing..and you'll cry like a baby.

Remember the first thing you heard the paramedics say after your accident…”there must be another cerebral hemisphere around here somewhere…”

Sorry they couldn’t come up with it.

trite phrases are not becoming to you. you feel there is no actual equality - and I don't disagree with that. beating dead horses doesn't work. what is it you propose as a solution? or, have you gotten to that point yet?

The Founders of this once-great nation believed that everyone should be equal before the law. That's right....

Why is that so difficult for you to understand????

I'm guessing that you use a shopping cart at the liquor store.

Once again, you are a legend in your own mind.
And you proved my point by running on, when a short, concise answer would have sufficed.

3. As for what you consider a too-long response?
Why would I deprive any readers of my literary skills???

Why?
It would be cruel!

4. I must admit ....it is one of my vanities(one of 'em). I find it satisfying to perform, convivial, competitive, absorbing and even artistic. What amazes me is that poets don't rush home, unpack their pens, and write odes..paeans...... to my posts!
