Electors are Bound to Vote for Pledged Candidate

U. S. Electoral College: Who Are the Electors? How Do They Vote?
State law requiring this is in effect in critical states and the state parties are heavily involved in vetting potential electors. If you think a Trump elector aka GOP diehard will vote for Hillary your fucking nuts.

They can if they choose to. They can in fact vote for anybody they want.

Fun fact: exactly half the states have no laws against "faithless electing". And the ones that do usually amount to an insignificant fine and/or aren't enforced.

So you started a whole 'nother thread after your little meltdown in the other one. I must say, learning how your own country works sure seems to make you nervous.

No dipshit. They are bound by their STATE law. We have an electoral system controlled by the states.

A stolen election via the electoral college will only reinforce the working class' view of the democratic party as fascists. Like my thread says, beware of unintended consequences: Gaffing The Electoral Vote In Dec: Dems Beware Of Unintended Consequences

There can be no "stolen election in the electoral college" ---- because what the electoral college does IS the election.

Go read the Constitution.
Go read the individual state laws.

Today, it is rare for Electors to disregard the popular vote by casting their electoral vote for someone other than their party's candidate. Electors generally hold a leadership position in their party or were chosen to recognize years of loyal service to the party. Throughout our history as a nation, more than 99 percent of Electors have voted as pledged.

You seem to keep vacillating back and forth on this "democracy" thing as you froth at the mouth. The fact remains electors can vote however they want. And the other fact remains, how each state chooses its electors and how it wants them to vote, is up to that state.

But as long as you're concerned about "disregarding the popular vote" ---- would you like to see what those numbers are?
