Elections Process in North Darfur Begins

The elections process in its all levels has started Monday morning in north Darfur state in 423 polling centers, while 800 thousand of the regisgtered electorate is expected to participate during the process.
The Governor of the state, Osman Mohamed Yousif Kibir, the chairman of the National Congress party at the state, has casted vote at polling center of south Al-Fasher second national constituence of Al-Migdad Basic School in Aowlad Al-Reef Scholl.
The Governor Osman Kibir said in press statements, after casting vote that the polling has begun yesterday morning in all the state's 18 localities, amid great calmness and security stability.
He noted the citizens' great participation in the polling which confirms their keenness to fully exercise their constitutional rights for realizing the country's stability.
The director of North Darfur election's higher committee, Gen. Abdul-Aziz Al-Sammani Mohamed Abdallah, who inspected a number of the polling centers noted to the good progress of the voting process amid big participation of the armed forces personells and their families and the citizens in these centers.
He pointed out to the begging of the voting process as scheduled except of some delays due to administrative imbalances, he said.
He added that logistic aids were sent yesterday morning via private jet to the national constituency 14 and the state's 24, which includes localities of Umbro, Altina Kornoy, referring to the possibility of extending the ballot in these areas.
In regard of the national, regional and international monitoring process, Al-Sammani explained that they have received during the past view days the delegations of the Arab League organization and delegations of the civil society organizations which he said have spread to monitor the elections in the polling centers.
