After having spent three years back in the 90's stationed at Fort Irwin, and with a number of good acquaintances still living in that area, my interest in goings on there remains more than superficial curiosity. That being said, one cannot read about this issue without pondering Sheriff Villanueva's true intent. So what's really going down in L.A. County these days? Why are illegal immigrants now benefiting from historically unprecedented special protections from Federal Law, many of which go far beyond the pale of reason and justice? Suffice it to say I and many others with direct ties to the County and City are 'all ears' anxious to hear other American Democrats' justifications for the new LA County Sheriff's drastic and intensely un-American policies.
A few examples of crimes downgraded from felonies to misdemeanors, crimes which illegal immigrants may not be deported for. Insane.
- Bribery of a State Ministerial Officer
- Influencing or corrupting a juror, umpire or referee
- A loaded firearm within the state capitol or any legislative office
- Loaded firearm within the governor's mansion
Makes one wonder if the powers that be in L.A. County and elsewhere around that state are raising an army of secession. Not so crazy an hypothesis considering the last two items on the above list.
