Do we really need 2 democrat parties?

The mainstream GOP continues to follow my advice from post election 2006. MOVE TO THE CENTER! Get that wingnut ball and chain off your ankle and build a party that appeals to real Americans!
This is where you're wrong. Obviously you can put a radical in there, but trying to be more like a democrat is not what wins elections for republicans. See how well McCain did?

people who are center of the road in both parties are not that far off in what they want for the country.....the closer to the center people are,the more things get done......as long as the fringe is involved, nothing will get done....

Somethings shouldn't be done.
As far as I can tell the entire left wing is fringe.
Are there any on the left who are not believers in AGW?
Any who want to secure the borders?
Any who want to cut spending ?

Nope. We've had that for far too long. The Socialists/Progressives have infested both parties at this point. Time for the GOP to make some big changes. Lets hope this starts happening. I'm beginning to see some positive signs. They're still a long way from home though.

Is that why your tea party folks are trying to kick Ron Paul out of office? We know what changes "your kind" want and there the extremist religious rightist agenda that pushes the Republican base. Your "tea partiers" especially in South Carolina and Alabama where the state parties are co-signing with your little movement are simply the angry and frustrated Republican base. They will attack anybody that doesn't believe in the GOP's radical social agenda. Crist, Ron Paul, McCain... they ALL have one thing in common they don't fit in with the mold of the GOP base.

Therefore they are being targeted by this movement of "independents" who believe in "fiscal responsability". Bullshit. You can sell that when your attacking McCain and maybe Crist but not Dr. Paul. Unfortunetly what's going on is the Republican Party is going through a process of "cleansing" both parties go through when they've suffered terrible losses. A reenergization of the Republican base that's all the tea party movement is. It'll phase out after 2010 when the Senate is split somewhere around 53-47 with a slight democratic majority. Then the natural process will be over.

Ron Paul shouldn't lose his job. He is decent person that I do not always agree with him on but he is correct about eliminating the fed and strict constitutional obedience.
