Disney Burns Another Kids' Novel?

LOL I can see Anne Frank now...a trans-gendered lad hiding out in an attic from the Gaystapo

Disney has lost it and I'm particular what I allow our children to watch from them

I absolutely adore the book "A Wrinkle in Time". I won't go see the movie because of the PC racial identity nonsense that is evident in the cast. Meg's mom had flaming red hair, violet eyes and creamy skin. Meg felt inferior to her with her own mousy brown hair, glasses and freckles. Meg feeling like an ugly duckling is a key aspect to the story - and something she overcomes. Transforming the family into a PC multiracial clan is not true to the book.

I'm sure Disney butchered "A Wrinkle in Time" up 9 ways to Sunday.

Disney: Giving people reason to read the book instead.

After what they did to Burrough's "A Princess of Mars" (John Carter), there oughtta be a law.

Rumor is they're looking at "The Diary of Anne Frank". :ack-1:

Is ‘A Wrinkle in Time’ in Trouble, Bound for Second Place in Box Office Debut?

Wait, A Princess of Mars is a children's book?

I was 10 when I read it.

That doesn't necessarily make it a children's book. ;)

I read "Dracula" at nine.

I real Pride & Prejudice, Tom Sawyer, and a Tale of Two Cities by the age of 9.

Yah, Twain and Dickens were favorites. Also Bradbury.

Oh yes! I read a ton of Bradbury back then as well.

The only thing I remember reading at that age is The Dragonlance Chronicles. :p
