She was a minor at the time, so this falls in child abuse realms...As a lawyer she is an officer of the court. At a minimum she violated ethics rules and can be disbarred... The law states she must report unless it violates attorney/client privilege.. Is she Fords attorney? If so she has a major conflict in interests...Finestien did not break any law, what she did was have knowledge that was not brought up to the committee in a timely manner and was used for political gain.Politically motivated bull shit... no evidence of any crime...In as the Democrats have made the following statement pretty much sums up what they are really doing: As the political fight over the sexual assault allegation made against the nominee intensifies, Democrats are indicating that - even if confirmed - they will drag the fight over the nomination past November. That explains it all.Diane Fienstien violated Federal Law, Commits Obstruction of Justice. How might be the next question so lets show why she has violated not only Federal Law but her Oath of Office..
Finestien was sent a letter outlining a Felony Crime which she did not report to the FBI or the local authorities where the crime is alleged to occur. The oath of office clearly states she is to protect and defend the US Constitution and its laws. She had written knowledge of a potential felony crime in early July this year, being a lawyer and officer of the court as well, failed to inform the proper authorities.
Finestien withheld evidence of a potential crime not only from the proper authorities but from the Charmian of the committee which oversees the judiciary and has the authority to initiate a proper investigation. Finestine has been ordered to produce the document and still refuses to produce it to anyone except leaking it to the press which makes any investigation now tainted and suspect..
Finestine has committed and continues to commit Obstruction of Justice while demanding an investigation, yet withholding facts with which to do the investigation. She then taints any investigation by leaking the information to the press and damaging any potential evidence or witnesses. Finestien has had this letter for almost four months and did noting until it became politically expedient to use it as a weapon.
She is a Lawyer and knows better.. She should be charged and held accountable..
You think if you keep repeating that it will make it true? It's not.
Mandatory Reporting Laws
Many states have mandatory reporting laws requiring certain types of people to report crimes against children. These "mandatory reporters" generally include parents, teachers, school administrators, clergy, medical professionals, therapists, social workers, and others. In some states, however, anyone who believes child abuse is taking place must report it.
Once a mandatory reporter witnesses an act of abuse or finds evidence of child abuse, he or she has a duty to report the incident to the appropriate authorities. That usually includes sharing important details about the incident, like the names of the victim and perpetrator. Failure to report an incidence of child abuse is a misdemeanor offense in most states.
