The Senate was controlled by the Democrats when the vote to authorize force was done. Reid allowed it to go to vote and since the Dems had the majority Dems voted for it. It was not a Republican controlled Government.

You have claimed that the Government was controlled by the Republicans that is simply not true. The Senate was controlled by Democrats. they could have shut down the use of force in several ways. One would have been to simply not allow a vote, a second would be to filibuster the bill, a third would have been for no Dems to vote for it.

Meanwhile people like Rdean and his cohorts are complaining that Republicans are the ones cutting federal dollars when both parties agreed to across the board cuts if the Super Committee failed.

As for funding the Iraq war, what were Democrats supposed to do - defund the war and the troops in midstream? I didn't know wars had on/off switches.

What are the supposed to do? Be honest, act on their stated goals and oppose those things that they say they are against.

The Democrats have one job when they control all parts of Government and that one single job is to spend the money of the tax payer wisely.

The way to do this is to create a budget, change expenditures to fit the budget and then balance the budget with the expenditures matching the income.

TheDems approached this differently: They did not submit a budget. Nobody in the Dems team called for one and they then exceeded collected revenues by 1.5 Trillion dollars every year.

That a ten times increase over the guy you are saying screwed it all up. Ten times worse and that's by the numbers.

Before you start throwing stones, defend the failure your guys put together. Even when the Republicans submitted a budget on time as they should have, the Democrats refused to take it up and discuss it.

You and your party are a joke and it's to the shame of America that anyone still thinks that the Democrats are a serious alternative to anything.
