"Debunked" is a Stupid Word

Does it mean none of a story is true? Does it mean you are to believe something never happened? Example, Fox News: Ventura County clarifies claims it would force people from homes into isolated coronavirus centers

This was shut down here by a mod as "debunked." But the words the County Health Director said are real:

"For instance, if they live in a home where there is only one bathroom and there are three or four other people living there and those people don't have COVID infection, we're not going to be able to keep the person in that home. Every person we're isolating, for instance, needs to have their own bathroom. So, we'll be moving people like this into other kinds of housing that we have available." Nothing ambiguous about that statement. "We'll be moving people."

He said they would start the program "today."

He then retracted the statement, saying the "clarification" was that it would not be involuntary. But "we're not going to be able to keep the person in that home" and "We'll be moving people" does not sound like you have a choice. Yes he reversed himself. But he did say it. Even Snopes says "partly false" lol which is partly true then, too.

We should not be running interference for public officials for their choice of words. These are important Constitutional issues, up to and including breaking families apart. Alexander Solzhenitsyn said "If we had stopped them right away, we wouldn't be in this gulag."
