Whole voting blocs of people have been used as bargaining chips since our beginning. Every piece of legislation ends up favoring one group over another in some way. The WH press corps is trying to frame the discussion around the phrase to call Trump a "racist" as if these invaders are even worthy of being bargaining chips. If they don't give us the wall and the end of chain/lottery migration, he'll start deporting them which is really what the Dims want or they'd play ball.
