"Conservatives Obama Assassination Tweets"

We are supposed to forget about the politics when you start out with a clearly political post?

Halt to the social revolution? What social revolution do you think was taking place?

Outgrown an old system? We haven't tried the "old" system.

First about the "System", we are still in the old system it just looks different. An analogy would be that even though we are driving cars that look futuristic they are actually almost mechanically identical to ones driven 80 years ago. In fact the basic methods for completely dominating a population into submission haven’t changed, ever, since the dawning of society; The shackle of choice has always been Fear.

Second, the social revolution. What was transpiring during the last months of Kennedy’s life and really a couple years leading up to his death was unprecedented in any modern human society. He was bringing about a system based on complete honesty and openness with the people, giving people free access to all the governments secrets. He was exposing the scandal of the military industrial complex and making people aware that America is still a country based on slavery. He was threatening to steal the power of the elite by giving True knowledge back to the people.
How was he making people aware that America is still a country based on slavery?

He was making people aware of the mechanism of money in terms of social control. And that basically the Capitalist system was a system of economic slavery. The only difference being that the forced slave must be fed and housed, and the economic slave feeds and houses himself.

don't you just love how all these nut jobs out there are now labeled "conservatives, right wingers, Republicans"?

I guess it's because all the lefties, commies, Democrats all LOVE LOVE LOVE the Obama and his Socialist policies he is dumping on our backs so of course none of them would be making a threat to him.

The problem my friend is that You dont know what i'm talking about.

I'm interested to hear what people think when they hear something like that. Do you cry traitor, hero, social rebel maybe? Or do you say that its all just a ploy by the elite controlled media to distract us from what’s actually going on? Maybe its both, like I said I haven’t seen the main stream spin.

Oh, the media definitely has something to do with it. When I hear something like that I think Beck. But really, fundementally, when I hear something like that I think of the unempowered, and the desire to be powerful.

Also, I wanted to reply to this thread because I thought it was cool that the OP and I both joined recently and have eerily similar names.

How odd. You're discussing things with yourself. Talking to yourself is a sign of mental instability. Just sayin'. :eusa_eh:

DailyFinance.com is reporting that a right wing blogger was urging for the killing of the President during a key debate on health care. I don’t watch television news but im sure there has probably been some coverage.

I would like a discussion about what repercussions this might have in terms of social policy and laws, to examine if any infringement might occur on social and human rights. Do you think it means something; or do you think its just a distraction? Maybe it's going to pave the way for new laws and regulations that are going to limit what we can say or do over social networks and the Internet?

I personally believe we are seeing the Change.

If true, I'm not surprised. the hate and anger is being fed non stop. People I know have become unhinged.

I dont like focusing on specifics really, they distract too much from the big picture. But the Change I was refering to concerning this specific story is the Change in social perception and attitude.

Im disappointed that the only thought stimulation you received from my post was concerning my own personal opinion and not the issue I was elucidating

This is a political message board. Politics and discussing them is very much dependent on individual perception. My perception of you to this point is you want others to put themselves and their political opinions out there while you say little to nothing in regard to your own.

Yes, there's been "change" since the current administration took over. It's all been negative. You can't have a "big picture" without its components. The US Constitution is based on individual liberty while this administration is based on socialism. You can't have both.

You know, the OP brought up an interesting point when he said that the shackle of choice was fear.

Interestingly enough, we've seen repeatedly that the antidote to fear is knowledge and understanding. If you know enough about something, you can stop it or avoid it if you don't like it, as well as can spot it starting to happen when it does.

One of the ways that Bush Jr. tried to keep the people going along his administration's lines was fear, and lots of it. He scared us with terrorist threats, with the color code system, as well as with a lot of other things.

The GOP has tried to use fear over the past couple of weeks by telling us how bad this heath care bill was for the country, without telling us why, just stating that it was bad.

When people started to hear what it was actually about, as well as what it would cover at first (no dropping for pre existing conditions, no caps on health care received, etc.), the people started to think that it was a good idea, which is why the country was at around 50/50 for and against when it passed yesterday.

But, like I said........the antidote to fear is knowledge. Now, just about anyone with an internet connection and a computer can find out just about anything they want to know about, including the health care bill.

Yep, there is a big change coming, and one of the places where it's going to be the most apparent is in places where people blindly followed their government, because they are going to be able to see where they are getting lied to.

Why do you think China is trying to censor the 'net?

But, do I think that people should say what these idiots did on Twitter? No. I don't. I also think that any time someone threatens a head of a country, they should be watched, because even if you said it in a bar and someone overheard, you'd be investigated probably the next day, if not that night.

Calling for the assassination of ANY head of state should be a no-no, whether on the 'net or anywhere else.

But.........speaking of the Change..........might wanna check out the book in the Bible called Revelations sometime..........

"Men will run to and fro with hooks in their jaws (sounds like a Bluetooth headset), and knowledge will be greatly increased (the internet)."

If you think about it, everyone who has a computer and net access actually has access to knowledge that is GREATER than what was held at the Library of Alexandria.

I just wish more people would access it all instead of just the partisan hack sites.

Some people are lazy, because when they find the ONE THING that supports their viewpoint, they quit.

Others (like me) enjoy checking out the subject from more than just one angle, because that is how you get the most information.

It also makes it easier to tell the truth from lies.

Very true, what I dont understand is why people come to a chat site to discuss the issues and then procede to completely ignore facts that they dont agree with. Why dont they just talk to themselves instead?
