Never heard of it, have you? But everybody's heard of Trump University. Wonder why that is?

Hillary University: Bill Clinton Bagged $16.46 Million from For-Profit College as State Dept. Funneled $55 Million Back

In April 2015, Bill Clinton was forced to abruptly resign from his lucrative perch as honorary chancellor of Laureate Education, a for-profit college company. The reason for Clinton’s immediate departure: Clinton Cash revealed, and Bloomberg confirmed, that Laureate funneled Bill Clinton $16.46 million over five years while Hillary Clinton’s State Dept. pumped at least $55 million to a group run by Laureate’s founder and chairman, Douglas Becker, a man with strong ties to the Clinton Global Initiative. Laureate has donated between $1 million and $5 million (donations are reported in ranges, not exact amounts) to the Clinton Foundation. Progressive billionaire George Soros is also a Laureate financial backer.

Of course the media will hide this....but Trump won't.......that is why Trump is probably the only republican who could win this year.....

Do you have a case where a student went to this college, paid a lot of money, and received nothing in return?

That's why this isn't a scandal. Like it or not, universities pay people honorariums all the time. Like when General Petreaus got a six figure deal to teach one class.

LMFAO!!! Ah, the sweet smell of Right Wing desperation led by politically impotent Right Wingers living in paralyzingly fear of a 5'5" grandma.

Yeah... I guess you missed the part where they used her office as Secretary of State for bribes....

55 million dollars............

Many for-profits stand accused of providing a poor quality of education, saddling students with a large amount of debt and offering few prospects for employment. Laureate (founded in 1998 by Sylvan) is one of the companies that has invested heavily in high-powered marketing and not in the quality of education they offer:

"The criticism of Laureate, here and abroad, is similar to charges leveled at competitors from Apollo Education Group, owner of the University of Phoenix, to the now-bankrupt Corinthian Colleges. In April, Corinthian shut down after a series of investigations by federal agencies and state attorneys general."

"Both at its U.S. and foreign schools, critics say, Laureate puts too much emphasis on marketing, advertising, executive salaries and recruitment of students and too little on quality education."

A controversial education model US is exporting

Yeah. Hillary should never have done all those promotional ads for the actual university that paid her husband an honorarium. Those are gonna look really bad when that university is shut down and sued for fraud. It is exactly the same as when Trump did promotional ads for a totally fake university which he owned.....and was shut down and is being sued for fraud.

When that university is shut down, and has people in many states sueing for fraud, then you can point your finger at Hillary. Until then, we have real fraud cases in many states against Trump, and his 'university' was shut down. Cry me a river, clowns.

Barely a drop in the bucket compared to what Halliburton got in no bid contracts for the Iraq War.

So ,, um last time I checked, the State Department contracting with a private firm was still legal, and private firms paying ex-presidents was still legal.

So I'm not seeing an issue here...

So you are saying two wrongs make a right?

so your argument is that it's kind of like those companies that are doing bad things, not that they've actually done bad things.

The Clinton University Problem: Laureate Education Lawsuits Present Problem For Clintons [Updated]

Comparing Trump U to

Quote

The scandal involves a dubious Laureate Education for-profit online college (Walden) and entails many of the common elements with other Clinton scandals: huge sums given to the Clintons and questions of conflicts with Hillary Clinton during her time as Secretary of State.

There are distinctions to draw between the two stories, but the virtual radio silence on the Clinton/Laureate story is surprising. [I have updated the original column with some additional thoughts, links, and clarifications for readers).

Whatever you think about Jonathan Turley, he does not hold back in the article

the education system in america is biggest scam in the world. consider what value is provided compared to the cost, you'll find that the salaries for instructors are completely backwards across the board. if you can teach little kids in elementary school how to read, you should get paid 6 figures because that's commensurate with the value you provide to society, but if you're teaching college level feminist dance therapy, you deserve less than the minimum wage, no benefits, no vacation or holiday pay, just a few bucks a week.

was it called "Clinton U"?

Nope.

Frankly, I think this policy of paying huge sums to ex-dignitaries to teach one or two classes is awful, but it ain't criminal. Meanwhile, you have adjunct professors who do the real teaching on food stamps.
