We have.ReaganMany folks meaning well have decided there is no way Trump can win the General Election. I beg to disagree. There are two statistics that I turn to, to come to my conclusion.
The polls often ask how voters feel about the direction of the country. It's overwhelmingly in favor of the Wrong Direction. Between the right Direction and the Wrong direction, voters have said 61-70% of the time that our country is headed in the wrong direction. And it reflects in both parties. Bernie Sanders is a socialist and has garnered more popular votes than anyone thought he would get. And Trump is the anti establishment candidate. Those two candidates make up the Sanders and Trump disaffected vote.. Together, they are stronger than Clinton by a long shot.
Clinton's Gotten The Most Votes, But GOP Has More Overall
But the GOP has gotten more total votes because of its larger field of candidates. Republicans have shattered turnout records across the country this year, as NPR's Danielle Kurtzleben has reported.
Based on totals maintained by The Green Papers, which tracks primaries and caucuses, here are the totals:
Republicans have turned out record numbers of voters in this 2016 presidential primary race.

RealClearPolitics - Election Other - Direction of Country
Direction of the Country - Wrong direction 61-
This election is unlike any other. It is about disgusted voters who are tired of the same 'ol politics as usual. It's about what is wrong with our politics and how our country has been run over by politicians worrying about themselves and not the people.
When Paul Ryan says he is not ready to support Trump and he is waiting to see if TRUMP falls in line with the Republican model....someone had better tell him he's got it backwards. The voters are telling the GOP they are out of sync with what the people want! Ryan had better take a good look at how Trump's policies are what our voters are clamoring for!
All pundits say Clinton is another Obama. Is that the direction the people want?
Look for a Trump win in November.
Who was the last POTUS to take the country in a direction you favor?
So you would like to see someone triple the debt again?
Let's disregard your lousy math and assume that is so....
You must be delighted then....
