Christopher Steele, the former British spy whose claims about Donald Trump’s ties with Russia hold center stage in Washington right now, drives Republicans crazy. They have recommended that the Department of Justice open a criminal investigation into his work. They released a formerly classified memo by Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) that vilifies him — and now they are holding back a Democratic brief that tries to correct the record. Their Fox News minions have promised damning new revelations about Steele’s perfidiousness on a near-weekly basis. (Sebastian Gorka called the Nunes memo “one hundred times bigger” than the causes of the American Revolution — hyperbole that seems to have embarrassed even his friends.)

Yet, try as they might, Steele continues to haunt them. You sense it in the tone of frustration and anxiety. “There’s nothing to see here,” they keep insisting. And insisting. And insisting.

What is it about Steele that possesses them so? Could it be that his findings from the summer of 2016 — when the world was still wondering why Trump kept saying such nice things about Russia’s Vladimir Putin — proved so extraordinarily prescient?

Whereas, you fuckheads would rather collude with ex-KGB Putin......

See the difference??

Damn democrats and republicans colluding with foreign entities trying to sway our elections
The damn truth.

Establishment crooks on both sides made this Steele fraud happen. John McCain has his malignant, octogenarian fingerprints all over it.

We have no options.

Fits right in with other liberal hero's...

The only reason I opened this thread is to see what kind of douchebag thinks Steele is a hero. Of course, it turns out to be a snowflake who is totally divorced from the facts.

Audie Murphy was a hero this guy not so much.
:bow3:

Now you're making me beam with pride.

Audie Murphy is one of Texas' greatest sons and a hometown hero where I live. He was born over in Kingston (Hunt County), and grew up in Farmersville (Collin County), both of which are just a few miles down the road from me (about 30 miles North of Dallas). So, both Hunt and Collin claim him.

This original painting hangs in the Collin County Courthouse with more than 100 other original paintings of fallen Collin County, Texas military heroes.

The movie "To Hell and Back" is a true story of how he earned the highest honor hanging around his neck.

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to brag.

The GOP didn't pay for it and we saw the memos proving the brazenly illegal activity. Now what do we hace from Steele HE SAID SHE SAID.... wheres the proof except that Hillary abd the DNC bought and paid for speculative stuff about TRUMP.

And we saw all those memos... but the FDI dierector chose not to bring it to a grand jury and changed the wording of the law! And what does this say about Obama, Lynch and Wild Bill on the tarmac?

And, not to derail the tread, but here is the citation on Audie Murphy's Medal of Honor:

"I. MEDAL OF HONOR. - By direction of the President, under the provisions of the act of Congress approved 9 July 1918 (WD Bul. 43, 1918), a Medal of Honor for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of life above and beyond the call of duty was awarded by the War Department in the name of Congress to the following-named officer:

Second Lieutenant Audie L. Murphy, 01692509, 15th Infantry, Army of the United States, on 26 January 1945, near Holtzwihr, France, commanded Company B, which was attacked by six tanks and waves of infantry. Lieutenant Murphy ordered his men to withdraw to a prepared position in a woods while he remained forward at his command post and continued to give fire directions to the artillery by telephone. Behind him to his right one of our tank destroyers received a direct hit and began to burn. It's crew withdrew to the woods. Lieutenant Murphy continued to direct artillery fire which killed large numbers of the advancing enemy infantry. With the enemy tanks abreast of his position, Lieutenant Murphy climbed on the burning tank destroyer which was in danger of blowing up any instant and employed its .50 caliber machine gun against the enemy. He was alone and exposed to the German fire from three sides, but his deadly fire killed dozens of Germans and caused their infantry attack to waver. the enemy tanks, losing infantry support, began to fall back. For an hour the Germans tried every available weapon to eliminated Lieutenant Murphy, but he continued to hold his position and wiped out a squad which was trying to creep up unnoticed on his right flank. Germans reached as close as 10 yards only to be mowed down by his fire. He received a leg wound but ignored it and continued the single-handed fight until his ammunition was exhausted. He then made his way to his company, refused medical attention, and organized the company in a counterattack which forced the Germans to withdraw. His directing of artillery fire wiped out many of the enemy; he personally killed or wounded about 50. Lieutenant Murphy's indomitable courage and his refusal to give an inch of ground saved his company from possible encirclement and destruction and enabled it to hold the woods which had been the enemy's objective."

Chissy Steele got NOTHING on Audie.

What exactly did Steele do that makes him a hero? And why the hell would Americans thank him?

All he did was make a ridiculous claim that Trump hired some Russian hookers to piss on bed that the Obama's may have slept in.

I've read at least a dozen books about the KGB over the years. Putting that kind of nonsense in the press is very typical of a Soviet "active measure operation", so it is very obvious that Steele was taking orders from the Russians. They have been releasing this sort of crude, defamatory, anti-American disinformation to the press for over half a century.

That kind of silly propaganda is uniquely Russian.

You should check out Audie Murphy museum in Greenville.

Well, we now know the UK interfered with our Election. That's been proven. It's also been proven that Clinton colluded with both the Brits and Russians to rig our Election. So i'm not sure why Democrats are praising Steele. They've been busted. And he's helped make that happen.
