LOL, Governor Moonbeam can teach the Donald a few things about the economy. California is currently the 7th biggest economy in the world surpassing Brazil, Italy and Russia. For every business that moves, two more move here to amazing profits and opportunity.

We've come down in the rankings because of the businesses that left. I believe we were no 5 before.

How long do you suppose that's going to last?

For every business that moves, two more move here to amazing profits and opportunity.

Got some evidence to back that up?

And yet they are outpacing the country in job growth. Imagine that.

Yes... and like a locust plague......leaving California where they destroyed everything and moving on to Texas ...to destroy that too...

Yea, right. This is the state that sent out IOUs in lieu of tax refunds.

Juan, good buddy, its actually SIXTH, not 7th.

CA used to be 6th largest economy. Lucky with weather, beaches and got big luck w/silicon valley. But they are spinning tales about books. You can't go on with pension bomb. 1 work, two off. Ask Illinois how you pay $10K/mo pension s foever. AND insurance for all the dyke you can muster up. 13% tax rate is not enough. They just sdded parcel tax SCCTY.....

Mainly because of the higher taxes and a few big businesses doing well right now. From your link:

"Gov. Brown has repeatedly warned of a coming economic slowdown, noting that the surge in tax revenues in recent quarters has begun to subside."

Most of the growth is due to a few tech businesses in the Silicon Valley and San Francisco and the state is vulnerable should those businesses slow. And the increases in taxes was a temporary solution to their overwhelming expenses. They can't keep raising taxes the way they have been.
