Listening to Anderson Cooper 360 on CNN tonight--March 4, 2009. Baglia--the best friend to our new Chief of Staff--Immnual--who he admits he speaks to every single day.

The interview starts with Anderson pressuring Baglia regarding what was it that made them go after Rush Limbaugh. Baglia--grinning ear to ear is just so proud to explain that he & Carvill did some kind of poll last October, prior to the election. They asked the people taking the poll--whom do you dislike most.

1. Pastor Wright
2. Bill Ayers
3. Rush Limbaugh

Pastor Wright & Bill Ayers came in at 50 & Rush Limbaugh came in at 58--(the worst number according to Baglia--still grinning ear to ear.) So they came up with this strategy to attack Rush Limbaugh--& make him the icon of the Republican party.

NOW HERE IT IS: the achille's heal to this DNC strategy:
Still grinning ear to ear: Baglia--then inadvertantly states that to "be fair" most of the people polled did not know who Pastor Wright was!

Did you catch that? The majority of the people that James Carvill & Baglia polled did not know who Pastor Wright was. If they didn't know who Pastor Wright was I doubt very seriously that they knew who Bill Ayers was either. Therefore the one name that stuck in their minds--the one name that they had heard before, came up with the most unfavorable rating & these two morons ran with it.

Still LOL!

Does anyone really care?

they would be wise to shut and leave limbaugh alone this not going to get them anywhere.

I think it's great to be honest with you. They used very unreliable data in their poll to form the attack.

They were polling people who did not pay an ounce of attention to politics. No one could have possibly missed Pastor Wright last year!

We need a more advanced word for Moron--because these two guys have just crossed the moron line.

they need a demon.....obama beat bush........now they need the troops to continue to rally against the enemy....the evil rich and rush......

my opinion of this is that it is truely genius....

I don't recall a POTUS ever attacking a radio personality before i heard BO do it.

POTUS is supposed to be above that, even assclown Bush refrained from that.

as i said he needs a target....it is genius......read brave new world again......

There were three things that made Rush popular:

Sean Hannity said last year that he wants Obama to succeed. This provided a small boost in moderate and democratic voters to Hannity's audience. Anyone who listens to Hannity on the radio knows he's more moderate than Rush and a hell of a lot more moderate than Hannity on FoxNews.

Obama told Republicans to stop listening to Rush Limbaugh. For a first-term, first-month, first-week president to even MENTION Rush would denote how powerful and influential Rush truly is.

Then Rush did something no radio talk show host has ever done. He said he wants the president to fail. This caused a huge uproar among people and Rush's ratings have been phenomenal and Rush knows for sure that this is short-term so he's doing everything he can to milk this latest ratings boost.

I don't think, though, that Obama did this by accident and I think Rush is playing right into Obama's hands. Rush Limbaugh's approval rating is lower than Bush's. If the Republicans are branded as the party of Limbaugh, moderates and Democrats aren't going to vote for Republicans because they can't stand Limbaugh.

I think Limbaugh is actually HELPING Obama and the Democrats. Meanwhile, the conservatives are letting lose and airing their frustrations with Rush.. scaring away more moderates and swing voters. When 2010 comes and the economy is recovering - Obama and the Democrats will point out how the Republicans have been following Limbaugh who didn't want the country to succeed - they didn't want unemployment to go down, they didn't want the stock market to go up... etc.

I think it's genius. I also think that Obama hasn't stopped campaigning and won't stop until 2013. He's already got a heads up on whoever his next opponent will be. The problem is that Rush doesn't know who his next opponent is going to be. It won't be Palin and it won't be Jindal. The Republicans are going to throw a sacraficial lamb at the 2012 election because the economy will have largely recovered by then.

no, you dont get it

Rush wants Obama's socialist plans to fail
thus he wants the COUNTRY to suceed

Issue is that most people hear that comment taken out of context and believe Rush wants the nation to fail and people to suffer simply because the Dems are in charge. Makes the Republicans look heartless and cold just as they have always been potrayed to be by the media and today's pop culture.

The odds of it recovering in time for the 2010 election are very slim. The Dems were counting on that. If its still bad bye bye Congress then it is a mute point whether Obama wins 2012 or not.

They know EXACTLY what was said....it just doesn't sound as good on their bumper stickers.

Here's one. Obama lied, the economy died. At least that one has merit...

actually, making Rush the voice of the GOP was brilliant...

Rush turns off everyone but "the base"....

he sends moderate repubs running for the hills... and watching your new RNC chair drool all over himself apologizing to the oxycontin junkie is hysterical.

Gentlemen primary thing involved in this, the need to take their people's minds off the almost complete collapse on wall street, the fact that earmarks are still all the rage ( and frankly are a microscopic part of the problem) and lastly, the fact that Obama & Co. are even more prone to bailing out the big boys than Bush Co.

Oh and let's not forget the fact that the only difference thus far between Bush and Obama on the war on terror seems to be that he may eventually change the mailing address of the detainees in Gitmo.
