Many see Canada as more right leaning than before: poll

Canada has endured almost half a century of the left's agenda. I know, I was one of those Trudeau Liberals who was swayed by the rhetoric. We are now seeing the pendulum turn and an old adage being shown as a truism:

As the Canadian population ages it is definitely time for reason and common sense to take a hold over purely emotional response. Socialism cannot work. It totally ignores human nature. This is why it has failed or is failing (eg. Greece), etc.

So leaning more to the right but more in favor of wealth redistribution? Isn't that a bit confusing? Didn't you guys learn anything from the mid 90s?

We're a country of social values and yes, we've learned just fine. It's all up, up and away as our pension funds have made it back from the purchases of American derivatives, etc.

I'ts not US Social wealth distribution, it's socially responsible provincial governments with transfers from a strong central government. It's working fine considering we have clawed our way back from the dot.com fiasco, the savings & loans debacle and the double whammy of debt restructuring and loan derivatives.

We bought into all of them except the loan derivatives which the Liberals put a stop to when the Conservatives tried to initiate the function in Canada. Neither did Australia. That's why both Canada and Australia came out of this last cash grab.

I think Canada has a fine method of dealing with its citizens, emigrants and illegals and the Conservatives have put a stop to a lot of abuses by those who wish to take advantage of these social programs.

It's looking pretty good to my eyes though. Time will tell.

Last time around Canada got into a lot of debt; can I assume you won't let that happen again? If so, my heartiest congrats. Too bad we didn't learn from our northern neighbors.

I can't speak to assumptions, however Canada has never been deeply in debt since we are a country of 'savers'. Our young are far greater spenders than my generation, but nothing like Americans.

The multinational corporate robber barons haven't just taken over America in the last 30 years. They've taken over the world.

As HW Bush said. This is a New World Order.

Venesuela hasn't given into this New World Order, we tried to take him out.

    Iran hasn't given in yet.

    North Korea still holds out.

I think the Chinese Government works with these Robber Barons because they got a lot of the oil contracts in Iraq.

This is very true. Almost every Canadian I know is very good with their money and save it much more than most Americans I know do (I've lived in Canada before).

They're only our largest trading partners (by far)-who cares about them right?:lol:
