Gov. Jerry Brown signs Dream Act for state's illegal immigrants - latimes.com
But of course he did! And more perks for the illegals are on the way with this bleeding left-wing liberal. And just wait Californians, those leaving Alabama are now heading thisaway.
California Governor Jerry Brown on Saturday finished signing the California Dream Act, under which California students who are undocumented [ illegal ] immigrants will qualify for state-funded financial aid for college. [didn't know CA had any money ]
The controversial bill is the highest-profile act to expand undocumented [illegal] students' access to higher education after a federal Dream Act, which would have given undocumented [illegal ]students a path to short-term permanent residency status, failed last year to attract enough support in Congress.
Colleges are already overcrowded with unqualified kids with tax supported free rides...just par for the course in the governments well established education bubble.
And with a 40% dropout rate in their freshman and sophomore years.
Mexicans have only to complete 9th grade in Mexico for a high school diploma. How can they learn English and compete on a college level with their peers?
More information on the education of Mexicans in their country @
"This program allows Mexican nationals who completed the 9th grade in the Mexican educational system to obtain a Mexican high school diploma from the Secretariat of Public Education (SEP) through the successful completion of an examination.
And once again:
Dream Act-type legislation conforms to Constitutional case law with regard to undocumented aliens due process rights and the prohibition of punishing children for their parents bad acts.
Its an intelligent and pragmatic measure as many students came to the US legally as small children.
These students arent going to be deported, as the US is the only country theyve known.
And leaving them uneducated will only cause greater problems in the future.
Lastly, we see the hypocrisy of conservatives: it seems in this case California doesnt have the state right to do as it sees fit with its own residents.
Most of it's residents and businesses are leaving because they can't afford to stay...
This is a good thing. The more California gives them the less the other 49 will see of them.. Keep going Cali for niiiii A
Cali is fucked lol... I doubt it will recover anytime soon.
Actually, THIS is what causes greater problems. It might not be their fault that their parents brought them here illegally. But it's certainly not my fault either. Why should I pay taxes for the government to give more to illegal immigrants than it will give me?
