Boeing Unveils 787

Today, on 7/8/7, Boeing unveiled the new 787. Made of composites, and without government subsidies, the new airliner will consume 20 percent less fuel per passenger mile. The plane will not fly until September but there are already 677 orders for the aircraft worth $110 billion. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Boeing_787_orders. I watched the webcast debut this afternoon and it included presentations from Boeing manufacturing sites in Japan, Italy, and America. Here's a photo of the new plane:
