Yes of course. I am crazy right?Ok, I realize your head is in the clouds. Keep it there, if it makes you feel better.No. Pearl Harbor was a set up by FDR. You need to read the history from non-statist historians. FDR pushed Japan into attacking with his many economic sanctions, threatening military forces, and bellicose statements. Plus he knew the attack was coming and refused to forewarn commanders at Pearl, then allowed them to be scapegoated. In effect, it was a false flag event to push a nation to war. The country believed FDR's many statements that he would keep us out of the war during the campaign of 1940, but of course he was lying.Right. Pearl Harbor tells us that.
We did not get involved until they already had harmed us.
Do you truly think that the US is an island unto itself? We don’t ship to and from other countries? Don’t have commerce with many of these nations in harms way? Or do you just want the US not to trade with other countries for things we do not have here, yet need? Or do you want all these ships to become their own armies to stay protected in foreign or international waters?
We were for neutrality in the wars in western Europe. Where did it get us? We became a sitting duck. Europe was all for appeasement, as well while Hitler attacked and defeated all his neighbors. Then Stalin and Hitler made agreement, both with different power hungry, evil objectives, to take on Poland. One evil power hungry dictator outwitted the other, thinking that agreement would guarantee Hitler would not come for them. Well, he did.
And we, the US, after winning, decided we were tired of the Europeans and war, and disarmed ourselves, not wanting to get involved again. We isolated ourselves, expecting the rest of the world would leave us alone, if we didn’t involve ourselves. Hitler banked on this. And he then joined axis powers to ever expand his power base. We ignored it, they are too far away. Let them do what they wish, just leave us alone. Guess what? The power hungry then decided all this neutrality, and appeasement meant we weren’t going to stop them as in wwi. And come for us, they did.
Today we watch as Iran and Russia, and Syria and China, all make alliances, playing and using each other as before. China has taken over islands that are not theirs. Russia has taken over Crimea, with nary a word from us. These same evil powers are on the move again, as we’ve sat back for a number of years, telling them just leave us alone, we won’t interfere. Same song and dance.
And our economy is even more dependent today on other parts of the world than during wwii. The damage that can be done, without firing a shot is exponential. And the evil powers know that and will play us any way they can. The more we withdraw, appease, or concede, the easier it is for them to subjugate us to their will. Thinking otherwise, is simply foolish.
Silly. Anyone who has studied history, knows that war is the health of the state...ALWAYS.No, having read your posts, I know you think if we back out of everywhere, they will all just leave us alone. You have not studied history enough to believe that would actually bring powers that do wish to conquer to the decision toleave us alone. This last admin attempted that in many ways and the world is in more turmoil and has more threats than ever. Not everyone has a pacifist or peace gene, if just given the chance. There is evil, always has been, always will be.so spend more on the military so it can kill and destroy...doing more of the same, knowing full well it doesn't work and causes increasing tyranny at home.
Silly too, because no power on earth has the capability of harming the United States, IF our military were used to protect the homeland rather than invading other nations, solely for the benefit of the ruling class.
Every war since the American Revolution, every war has been a false flag or set up by those in power.
We are witnessing this same effort by the ruling class today, with their aggressive talk and warlike actions against Russia, China, Iran, and NK. War is likely just around the corner and all to enrich and empower a criminal state.
Nonintervention is the policy we should follow, as our Founders advised. This does not mean ISOLATIONISM as most statists will scream to denigrate opponents of non-stop war.
After nearly non-stop wars since WWII, one would think ALL Americans would see the truth.
