Yeah. That's because the Chinese really want to help the US economy flourish. And that is only because they have such deep respect for Trump. He's an honorable man. The chinks respect honorable men.

But it means nothing until China actually puts the offer on paper. And proposal does not end until 2024.
China knows Trump is running behind in the polls and has all kinds of ethical/legal troubles. It is pretty obvious he is gone in 2021. So why would they make a deal with Trump when they know that his successor probably will back off China?
My guess is that China will propose a loosely worded deal just to get Trump to back off. And when he is gone in January, 2021 they will quietly fail to meet their goals - while giving a variety of excuses.
Don't underestimate China in these negotiations.
