The Biden administration plans to launch an initiative providing temporary I.D. cards to migrants awaiting decisions on their immigration proceedings so they can more easily access services and government benefits.

Illegal immigrants and asylum-seeking migrants awaiting final decisions on their cases often have difficulty getting housing, healthcare and transportation without identification cards.

In order to relieve some of these obstacles, and serve as a mutual benefit to the government, officials are now considering a pilot program that would provide I.D. cards while incentivizing checks ins and more frequent communication with law enforcement throughout immigration proceedings, two sources familiar with planning told Axios.

My wife of 61 years is still a German citizen. She used to get her green card renewed every 10 years for no charge for 40 years. 11 years ago it cost $400. Last year the card cost $1500. She worked 45 years in restaurants and country clubs and ended up a master chef. Her 401K and other investments plus SS is very profitable. She has never received one thin dime from the gubmint or any other freebies. She and other hard working immigrants are loyal to this country but all of them are subject to deportation if they are not sticklers to this socialist gubmint's many rules and regulations. Periodically they have to send in surveys and this show how closely monitored they are. Illegal immigrants? Nobody knows who or where they are but somehow are able to provide them with free shit by the ton.
That's my rant for today.

It depends on what the documents are. Not all documents confer legal status. An ID card identifying the person as being here illegally doesn't confer legal status. In reality the card will be immediately thrown away. The invaders throw away all their identification as soon as they cross the border. Passports, driver's licenses, voter registration cards, everything is left in the desert. The closest to identification they have is the wristband the cartels use. That, like the nazis, use a number. It proves they paid, and the cartel they paid. The last thing these invaders want is something that will identify them.
