This is all part of the long-term plan the left has for the entire world.

It reminds me of a bumper-sticker I've seen now and then over the years: "Live Simply, So That Others Can Simply Live".

This is the end game of these people. They are going after anything and everything that allows people to live as they wish. They want us all living in cubicle-housing, in an urban setting, in walking distance or mass transit distance to everything THEY decide you need.
They hate rural folks, who use more resources than THEY deem necessary. They want to put an end to people deciding for themselves how large they wish to live.

If they can restrict your energy sources, they will be able to herd you in the direction they want you to.
